Du Bin zigzagged left and right to evade the infected. They seemed to regard him as an enemy and pursued him relentlessly. He had thought he could shake off these slow-moving creatures, but instead they kept emerging in an endless stream, as if closing in to surround them.

When they were forced to drive toward the sports arena, the infected only gathered around the outer perimeter and did not come closer. This strange sight puzzled the two of them, and before they could think it through, four vampires appeared in the sky, staring down at them on the grass with ferocious expressions.

"They're all vampires," Ye Tang said warily.

Those vampires overhead were Pan's vanguard, the Ten Warriors. Their names were Hong Yan, Xue Gang, Pei Ran, Di Sa, Lie Ao, Mai Yi, Shui Zhi, and others. Each of them wore an expression of gleeful anticipation.

"So this is the young lady. Her strength seems rather ordinary," Xue Gang said, sniffing the air and sensing only a faint aura similar to Pan's upon her body.

Hong Yan did not underestimate her simply because her abilities seemed average. "Even if she is ordinary, she is still a descendant of the blood clan. To one degree or another, she will have inherited the power of the bloodline."

"Is that so? Then let's have a little fun with the young lady," Lie Ao said with some excitement.

Xue Gang and Di Sa could no longer restrain themselves and dived down first. The others followed right behind. Ye Tang drew her crimson blade, unfurled her wings, and flew up to meet them. Du Bin cooperated from the ground with bolts of lightning. The two sides clashed in a probing battle for half an hour, and neither gained the upper hand.

Seeing the stalemate, Shui Zhi and Mai Yi set their sights on Du Bin on the ground. As long as they dealt with this fellow, their aerial advantage would guarantee victory. Ye Tang noticed the change in their movements, but the others held her in place the moment she moved to cover Du Bin.

"Du Bin, be careful."

"Don't worry. I won't lose so easily," Du Bin replied, releasing a bolt of lightning toward the sky before waiting for them.

The two attacked with their sharp claws. Du Bin seized the opening, and lightning burst from around him, enveloping his body. Shui Zhi and Mai Yi were hurled back by the electric force, but they refused to relent and pressed their attack. It was precisely the moment Du Bin had been waiting for. He suddenly roared, and within a radius of a hundred meters a large circular formation appeared.

"Heavenly Thunder Formation!"

A bolt of lightning struck down from the sky onto Du Bin, and through him, as a conduit, it spread into the formation. Once the array was activated, countless lightning strikes manifested within it, attacking every enemy trapped inside.

Di Sa saw his brothers screaming in agony within the lightning array and immediately flew down to rescue them. The lightning in the formation tried to drag him in as well, and sensing danger, Di Sa quickly retreated.

"Thunderstorm!"

Seeing the electricity all over their bodies, Du Bin launched a second attack. Another force surged out from his body and spread through the entire formation. The instant it came into contact with Shui Zhi and Mai Yi, its power increased severalfold.

Their hearts were instantly crushed by that force. Before everyone's eyes, their bodies heated rapidly, then exploded apart with a thunderous blast.

"Shui Zhi! Mai Yi!" Di Sa cried out.

Having finished off his opponents, Du Bin was left in a brief state of weakness from overexertion. Killing two vampires was already a fine result; at the very least, it proved how much stronger he had become. How could Di Sa allow this man to survive? He lunged forward at all costs. Even though Du Bin could still counterattack, his weakened state rendered it ineffective.

With a heavy punch, Du Bin was sent flying more than ten meters away. He slammed into a wall under the force of his momentum and spat blood from his mouth.

Seeing Du Bin lying on the ground, Di Sa still refused to let him go. He rushed over and pummeled and kicked him repeatedly. When Ye Tang saw this, fury consumed her entire being. Flames burst from her body, forcing back the vampires restraining her, and she flew in at high speed, kicking Di Sa away.

Looking at Du Bin, who had been beaten badly and was now sprawled on the ground, Ye Tang glared at the remaining eight vampires with blazing anger. "You people are truly unforgivable."

"That rookie actually managed to kill Xue Gang and Di Sa. We really can't afford to underestimate him," Pei Ran said with a sigh.

Hong Yan frowned at his remark. "No matter how you look at it, compared with us, he's still too green."

"Is that so? As far as Du Bin is concerned, he really is a rookie. But I'm a little stronger than he is, so you'd best be careful."

The eight vampires surrounded her and laughed loudly. They had learned nothing about Ye Tang's strength from Pan or Yasuo. On top of that, she had deliberately concealed the power of her bloodline. The others, careless and unguarded, had taken her for nothing more than an ordinary ability user, completely forgetting Yasuo's warning.

"Du Bin, you should rest for a while. I'll deal with them," Ye Tang said. Then she unleashed her fire ability, and the entire street was engulfed in flames.

The others were driven back by the torrent of fire and retreated into the sky. With a whoosh, she spread her wings and flew upward. The dark heavens were repeatedly lit by the blaze. Facing eight opponents at once was not easy for Ye Tang, and her abilities were mostly suited to single-target kills. The only move she could reliably use in a mass fight was the Eight-Sword Formation.

No wonder Yoyo had mocked her back then in the death tournament. Ye Tang began to envy Yoyo's area-of-effect abilities. Still, each had their own strengths. In single-target combat, Yoyo could not compare to her. At least that gave her some comfort.

Ye Tang came slashing in with her sword, and Lie Ao easily dodged. The two continued their attack-and-defense exchange, while the others naturally would not allow her any ease. Ye Tang noticed them closing in and seized the chance to turn and sweep her blade sideways. Hong Yan seemed to anticipate her next move and dodged with ease.

Immediately after, Lie Ao flipped forward behind her and kicked at her head with his heel. Ye Tang raised her left hand to block, but the force on the other side was astonishing and kicked her flying. Losing her balance, she plummeted downward.

She crashed through several floors of the hospital and finally struck the ground, shattering it with a web of cracks. Ye Tang felt pain all over. The others descended to the ground and mocked her.

"Weren't you doing quite well just now? So it was all just a show."

"Exactly. Even with that rookie added in, you still couldn't be our match," Xue Gang chimed in.

Ye Tang staggered to her feet. "How strange. You even know my attack patterns."

"Of course. We are battle-hardened warriors. If we didn't have that level of awareness, we'd have been finished long ago. The coordination of our Ten Warriors is one hundred percent."

"Coordination..." She was no stranger to that. She had encountered people who fought with perfect teamwork in the death tournament before. Back then, she had two rookies by her side, but now Du Bin was badly wounded and could not help her. She would have to rely on herself alone to break their rhythm.

"Not necessarily. Victory is still anyone's guess," Ye Tang said confidently.

Di Sa shook his head. "Still forcing it? But the young lady must already be badly hurt. Let's play with her a little longer."

"That's indeed a good suggestion."

Hong Yan reminded them, "Fine, but keep a sense of measure. She is the king's daughter, after all. If anything happens to her, we'll be the ones in deep trouble."

Ye Tang was furious at their conversation. If she were not of the blood clan, they would never dare show such an attitude. They were simply too dismissive.

The moment she moved, the others moved as well. The hospital could not withstand their immense power. Ye Tang fired fireballs at dozens of support pillars, and with the supports gone, the entire building collapsed in a cloud of thick smoke.

Hong Yan and the other vampires flew into the sky. Seeing the smoke billow everywhere, they seemed to have lost sight of Ye Tang and began searching in all directions.

Lie Ao relied on his sense of smell and detected her location. He grabbed a small car from the ground and hurled it toward a building in the distance. Just as Ye Tang appeared from behind the larger building, the car collided with her. She was sent crashing violently into a wall.

"How foolish. We've already figured out your attack pattern. Even without two of our own, it makes no difference."

"I know that," Ye Tang said, suddenly springing up and hurling fireballs at them.
