Gradually, Ye Tang regained consciousness and stretched out her hands to gaze at them. This time, she did not lose her sanity; she was still herself. As she reached to grasp the Crimson Blade, a powerful flame surged through the sword, resisting her touch.
Ye Tang immediately withdrew her hand, caressing the burn on her skin. "How can this be? The Crimson Blade is rejecting me."
"The Crimson Blade is a sentient sword," Pan explained. "It is a weapon specially designed to counter the blood clans. You have just fully unleashed your power. Previously, the crystal stone suppressed the Crimson Blade, so it did not show obvious rejection. To fully control the Crimson Blade, you must connect with it on a spiritual level."
Ye Tang closed her eyes and quietly communicated with the Crimson Blade. "Crimson Blade, please allow me to wield you. I need your strength."
She tried several times but was still met with resistance. "Crimson Blade, please stop resisting me. You must know I am not evil. Let me hold you again, as your rightful heir."
The Flame God Pearl embedded in the sword's hilt began to glow. It hesitated, then chose to accept her as its true master.
The Crimson Blade instinctively flew to her. This time, it no longer resisted her power but merged their energies into one. The red flames now shimmered with purple starlight, and the Flame God Pearl turned a deep purplish-red.
"Thank you, Crimson Blade," Ye Tang said, gripping the sword tightly. She felt the Crimson Blade had acknowledged her as master; no one else in the world could wield its power. Overwhelmed with emotion, tears welled in her eyes.
Pan stood silently nearby, watching the Crimson Blade recognize her as its owner. He sighed and murmured to himself, "I was right after all. The reason the Crimson Blade refused a master for so many years was that it hadn’t met the right person. Mei, you’ll be able to return soon."
Ye Tang held the Crimson Blade outstretched. Around her, several sword illusions materialized, circling her in a perfect ring. Each Crimson Blade radiated an even more dazzling brilliance than before.
Her wings spread instinctively as she gazed at Pan. "Is this the same power you possess? This power was emitted by your daughter to stop you."
A purplish-red glow emanated from her body, forming an ascending current that illuminated the gray, hazy sky.

"Come then, let me see whether the forbidden fusion of human and blood clan truly is powerful or merely a failure," Pan said, flapping his wings and soaring through the air. Ye Tang followed closely, her consciousness guiding her. The eight swords took turns lunging and stabbing at Pan, but his speed was so swift that even the Crimson Blade couldn’t catch him.
As Ye Tang commanded seven swords to attack Pan, she held the Crimson Blade and sneaked in for a strike from behind. Pan evaded the Crimson Blade’s attack, turned, and extended his left hand. A sword of purple energy appeared, blocking her stealth attack.
With dual swords in hand, Pan was untouchable by the other Crimson Blades. Ye Tang had no choice but to dissolve the eight-sword formation.
"You can manifest two swords? To think you could conceive a countermeasure in such a short time," Ye Tang said, retreating to keep her distance as the swords flew back to her side.
"Though your strength is lacking, you know how to seize the element of surprise. If it were anyone else, you might have succeeded. But your opponent is me. You surpass your mother by far. She is a timid, weak person who fears killing. No matter how fearsome or powerful her opponent, she would never kill."
"Indeed, because I am your daughter, my personality leans toward your coldness and ruthlessness. When dealing with enemies, I show no mercy. Even if they beg for their lives, I kill without hesitation. This gene is inherited from you." She recalled every enemy she had faced—almost none had survived. It was ironic; she seemed to have changed because of that person.
"Yes, then wield your blades fully! Use your own hands, and the power I have granted you, to defeat me. Then you will become the embodiment of justice and the power of the demon."
Ye Tang did not deny she wielded demonic power. As long as her heart was just, it was acceptable. She launched several fireballs, but Pan easily blew them aside. Seizing the moment, she appeared to Pan’s left and slashed with sword energy, each arc trailing flames.
Though powerful, Pan dared not touch the Crimson Blade directly. After dodging several sword strikes, he counterattacked with his dual swords. The battle crackled through the air, shifting between the Mo Star Tower, the skies, and the ground with such speed it was hard to discern.
The fight was evenly matched; neither side gained the upper hand. Ye Tang fought with all her might, while Pan seemed to be toying with her.
Ye Tang swung her sword down; Pan easily dodged and countered with a left hook to her back. She was sent flying over ten meters, crashing heavily to the ground, a bitter taste in her throat as she spat blood.
Pan sheathed his swords and circled in the air. Suddenly, he raised both hands, channeling immense energy, and shouted fiercely. The purple power transformed into countless sharp projectiles aimed at Ye Tang, many following curved trajectories.

Facing the barrage of sharp attacks, Ye Tang stumbled to her feet, wiping blood from the corner of her mouth. She wrapped herself in flames.
As the projectiles rained down, explosions erupted in waves. The fiery barrier held for a time but soon cracked and shattered with a loud bang. Without her shield, all attacks struck her directly. Although the blood clan had granted her immense physical strength, no one could endure such an assault without severe injury.
Pan ceased his assault, his expression grave. As the smoke slowly cleared, the scene became visible: Ye Tang crouched on the ground, gripping the Crimson Blade stabbed into the earth. Her body was covered in wounds, and the membranes of her wings were riddled with holes.
"If you cannot withstand such an attack, it is truly a waste of your talents."
Ye Tang’s consciousness blurred; her breath faltered, and she felt herself beginning to lose control. Yet she fought to maintain command over her body.
Just as she calmed her turmoil, she immediately activated her abilities. Seeing her indomitable spirit, Pan smiled faintly. "Come then, I have waited long enough."
No sooner had he spoken than Ye Tang spread her shattered wings and soared into the sky. The eight-sword formation rang out sharply. Watching her silhouette approach, the swords flew toward him. Pan evoked his speed, his afterimages weaving through the sword array.
Ye Tang hovered, searching for an opening. She flicked her hands, summoning a sword of fire that roared as she slashed. Pan turned, raising his right hand; an invisible force pushed her back several meters.
Undeterred, Ye Tang pressed forward. Pan blocked her strike and, as she continued her assault, executed a large backflip. At the perfect moment, he swept his sword horizontally. Ye Tang braced the blade firmly before her, blocking the blow, but Pan’s immense strength forced her back.
"Come, use all your strength to break through me."
