Yasuo stood with eight swords piercing his body, smoke of burning flesh rising from him. Soon, flames engulfed him entirely, and in a brief moment, he turned to ash.

Composing herself, Ye Tang grasped the Crimson Blade and soared toward the tower’s summit. Standing there, Pan wore an expectant expression. “So you’ve finally made it up here, my daughter.”

“I’m back. I’m here to stop you,” Ye Tang declared, spreading her wings as she landed in the open space atop the tower.

“It’s useless to stop me. What you need to stop is this,” Pan said, pointing to a device fixed atop the antenna behind him. This device controlled the infected beings, directing them to attack everyone.

Ye Tang’s gaze darkened as she stared at the device. “If you destroy that transmitter, you’re relying on this to send signals that control the infected’s minds.”

“Destroy it if you wish. But once you do, what do you think will happen to those infected when they lose control?”

“They’ll become even more frenzied.”

“Exactly. If you want to change things, you must defeat me. As a Hunter and a member of the Bloodline, this is your duty. Fight for your justice. Come!”

Ye Tang gripped the Crimson Blade tightly, a complex mix of emotions stirring within her. After all, this was her father, and she found it difficult to raise a hand against him. She conjured a sword shimmering with purple energy and charged forward. Unwilling to yield, Ye Tang met his attack head-on.

The clash of the Crimson Blade and the purple sword echoed across the sky, a power more potent than any other, belonging solely to the Bloodline—a power possessed only by this father and daughter.

Ye Tang knew Pan was unlike other vampires; he was an overwhelming force. “Why can’t you regain your senses and be your true self again? Don’t be deceived by anyone. That Wu Qiwei is no good; he’s only using you.”

“Even if he deceives me, there is one thing he won’t lie about. If his plan succeeds, my sacrifice will be worth it,” Pan said, forcefully pushing her away before slowly rising into the air.

“Why?” she asked, unable to comprehend how someone would be willing to sacrifice their very life to destroy the earth.

“No why. It’s only so you might have a complete family.”

“What?” Ye Tang was stunned. A complete family—that was the reason behind his actions.

“Surprised? Now, do you stand with humanity or as a Hunter to stop me?”

Ye Tang belonged neither to humanity nor to the Hunters. She relied solely on her own strength to stop her father. “I belong to neither. If you break your oath for me, then I will stop you as your daughter.”

“Don’t you want to see her?” Pan asked, a trace of awkwardness in his expression.

Ye Tang knew well that her mother had been dead for many years. Even if they forcibly brought her back, she would no longer be the person she longed for. “She’s been gone for years. Even if you could bring her back, it wouldn’t be the same. Besides, resurrecting the dead defies the laws of nature.”

“In that case, let me see if you have what it takes to stop me.” If the one he longed for could truly return and the family reunited, no price would be too high. Unfortunately, his daughter didn’t understand. She had grown up in a Hunter family, indoctrinated daily with false virtue. Pan’s anger surged, releasing a purple mist around him.

“Then I’ll prove it to you.” Ye Tang hurled several fireballs at him. He spread his wings to shield himself; the fireballs vanished upon touching his wing membranes.

She knew Pan’s strength well. Seeing him effortlessly repel her attacks, she realized she must unleash her full power. She also understood Pan’s restraint—he held back because she was his daughter.

Ye Tang spread her wings and leapt into the air, slashing toward him. Pan opened his wings wide, conjuring a fierce gust that blew her back dozens of meters.

Ye Tang steadied herself and summoned flames. “Scorching Firebirds.”

Three fiery birds emerged from the flames and flew straight at Pan. He swiped his hand lightly, and the birds exploded midair. “Is that all you’ve learned? Mere fancy moves.”

“Fancy moves?” The criticism stung Ye Tang. These were her proudest skills. She clenched her teeth and transformed the Crimson Blade into an eight-sword formation, striking directly at Pan.

She guessed Pan was unaware she could control the swords mentally without standing, and she hoped to use this to draw him closer.

Sure enough, Pan evaded the blades and advanced. “That won’t harm me.”

Instead of using his sword, Pan grabbed her with his hand. Ye Tang intensified her flames; just as his hand was about to touch her, she melded into the fire. A blazing fireball struck his chest and exploded violently. The fireball hovered for a moment, then faded back into its original form.

The excessive use of her abilities left her breathless and unstable. Gasping for air, she barely had time to recover before a dark shadow hurtled toward her at sonic speed. When Ye Tang reacted, it was already too late.

Pan gripped her neck tightly and ascended swiftly. With a sudden turn, he hurled her toward the ground. Ye Tang tried to steady herself but couldn’t withstand the speed, crashing into the open space beside the Mo Star Tower and creating a large crater.

As the dust cleared, Ye Tang lay amid the rubble, struggling to move. Pain surged through her body as she surveyed the numerous wounds. Pan was truly formidable; a single blow had left her in such a sorry state.

Pan descended slowly before her. “You should now understand the gap in our strength. Give up those childish notions.”

“I know I can’t beat you. Even if I die, I won’t accept your defiance of nature,” Ye Tang said, battered but determined, slowly rising despite her trembling body.

“Oh? It seems you want to keep fighting. Very well, I’ll teach you something.” Pan paused before continuing, “If you destroy the crystal stone you wear, the Bloodline sealed within you will awaken fully. Right now, you only possess a fraction of your power.”

“If I must use it, I will choose without hesitation to stop you,” Ye Tang said, clutching the crystal stone. She hesitated, fearing that removing the seal might turn her into the mindless vampire from the Death Arena. She deeply regretted accidentally harming Du Bin and tears welled in her eyes at the thought.

She tore the string and tossed the crystal into the air. Slowly closing her eyes, just as it began to fall, Ye Tang swung her sword and cleaved it in two. The purple power sealed within the crystal was released and surged back into her body.

Pan smiled, watching as his daughter shattered the crystal and broke the seal. She would become a true member of the Bloodline once more.

As the power returned within her, an unprecedented force surged chaotically, two opposing energies clashing violently. Ye Tang was enveloped in a reddish-purple glow.

“Ah!” she groaned in pain, crouching as her eyes turned deep red. The struggle between evil and justice within her body was overwhelming, causing her to clutch her head and scream. Her black wings gradually transformed into vivid red.

“Hold on a little longer, and the pain will subside. Then you can fully reveal your true self,” Pan said with a look of relish.

The purple light illuminated the land, as if all living beings sensed the birth of this power and the threat it posed to the earth. From afar, Wu Qiwei, holding a vial of blood, smiled and said, “It seems she has awakened. This one always does things no one can understand, but can she really change the outcome?”
