The power of thought can express a person's ideas, even transcending language, allowing communication without any barriers.

Originally, Qin Hao did not know any languages spoken in Oceania, not even the common tongue.

Yet now, in order to make the Ancient Demon race understand, the enemy had actually used the power of thought, making it crystal clear even to Qin Hao.

At this moment, a surge of anger welled up in Qin Hao's heart.

He had previously thought that Oceania's premature destruction was the butterfly effect caused by his own actions, but now he realized it was actually this group of selfish humans who had murdered their own kin.

After the invading civilization altered the rules of invasion, heroes became entities of disaster rather than protectors of surviving humans. Consequently, some regions began expelling heroes, or even killing them.

Did these people really think they could rest easy just because they killed their hero?

This was the consequence they faced now.

Oceania had no heroes left, and so the invading civilization had landed.

Right at that moment, Qin Hao heard the power of thought originating from the Ancient Demon civilization.

"I never expected the intelligent race on Blue Star to be a bunch of cowards. It's pathetic. You actually kill your own kind? Do you have no rules? Oh right, you're just an aboriginal planet; having no rules is normal."

Rules, among other civilizations, were a special kind of law.

Much like the oaths Qin Hao had bound Sun Miaomiao and her father with, they could constrain intelligent civilizations from making mistakes.

Human laws had long since vanished. If gods were to appear in the future, whatever they re-established would also be in the form of rules.

"We have no rules—what are those? My lord, please spare me! I'll do anything you ask."

"Please, don't kill me."

"God, save us."

These people prayed continuously.

Unfortunately, they were praying to demons.

Leaping across two buildings, Qin Hao looked down into the plaza.

By now, he had caught sight of the Ancient Demon pack.

The Ancient Demons stood about three meters tall, pitch-black all over, covered in scale armor, and equipped with sharp claws.

Their hind legs possessed three-jointed bones that bent backward like those of a dog.

This granted them incredible running speed.

Their faces resembled those of black panthers, featuring a pair of dazzling golden eyes.

At that moment, one of the Ancient Demons reached out and grabbed a human.

"Chattering away endlessly. Is this thing edible? Which parts taste better?" As it spoke, the Ancient Demon grabbed the man's head with one hand and yanked upward.

"Splat!"

Blood spurted out, and the surrounding Ancient Demons burst into loud laughter.

It was just like humans laughing and gloating when someone gets sprayed in the face with the foam of a shaken soda bottle.

Unlike those Ancient Demons, however, the surviving humans shrieked at the sight.

Fear spread through the crowd.

They wept bitterly, though it was uncertain whether they regretted murdering their own hero.

Standing atop the high-rise, Qin Hao activated the title bestowed by the Hero System, lifting the curse's shielding function.

At that instant, Qin Hao radiated boundless blood-red light.

[Flame Demon Butcher]

[Wind Demon Butcher]

[Voodoo Demon Butcher]

The release of these three titles immediately alerted the Ancient Demons to his presence. They jerked their heads up and spotted Qin Hao standing on the rooftop.

"Scum, you killed our god's pet."

One of the Ancient Demons flew into a rage. Pushing off with its hind legs, it leaped a full ten meters into the air, plunged its sharp claws into the building's exterior wall, and with a ferocious scratch, propelled itself another ten meters up, reaching Qin Hao's side.

The Ancient Demon lashed out at Qin Hao with a palm, within which a black sphere had materialized—the power of the dark element.

The sphere carried an aura of annihilation; upon striking any living creature, it would melt them away.

Qin Hao's expression remained calm as a long sword materialized in his hand, none other than the Star-Slaying Divine Weapon.

Stellar energy poured into the divine weapon, making it even more indestructible. With a fierce slash, a brilliant flash of light swept horizontally across the Ancient Demon's waist.

In an instant, the Ancient Demon froze in utter bewilderment.

Its upper and lower body parted ways, and through the gap, the azure sky was clearly visible.

"Urgh..."

Before the Ancient Demon could use the power of thought to convey anything, its entire body plummeted downward, crashing onto the ground with a heavy thud.

Blue blood spurted from the Ancient Demon's corpse.

The remaining Ancient Demons, who had been leisurely watching from below, wore looks of astonishment before their expressions twisted into extreme ferocity.

"Kill him."

"Aboriginal, how dare you kill one of our kind! I'll chop you into pieces and make you taste true torture."

Roaring with fury, these Ancient Demons unfurled their thought tentacles and manipulated the elements.

A red glow emerged, and a torrent of fire descended from the sky, slamming into the building where Qin Hao stood.

On the ground, fierce winds whipped up as three wind blades, each over three meters long, sliced directly toward Qin Hao's position.

Qin Hao leaped downward abruptly, evading the Ancient Demons' onslaught.

The wind blades sheared through the building's reinforced concrete. In an instant, massive slabs of stone broke loose and crashed toward the surviving humans below.

"Aahhh!"

The survivors scattered in panic, shielding their heads.

However, the Ancient Demons guarding them would never allow them to run amok. Since they couldn't squash Qin Hao instantly, these humans were still fair game and would all be slaughtered.

An Ancient Demon stepped heavily onto a human's back, the immense force instantly pinning the person to the ground, accompanied by a crisp "crack."

The human vomited a mouthful of blood, clearly on the verge of death.

The other humans were gripped by terror, their only hope lying in the Asian man who had just appeared.

"Save me, save me."

A blonde, blue-eyed beauty ran toward Qin Hao. She moved with great speed, apparently a Tier-2 Evolver.

Ignoring the woman, Qin Hao engaged the other Ancient Demons in combat.

Every single one of these Ancient Demons possessed the strength of Tier-3 Evolvers.

Yet they were no match for Qin Hao whatsoever.

"Die!"

Qin Hao's thought tentacles manipulated the surrounding elements.

Wind, fire, water, earth.

The Chaos Force of the Four Symbols.

A grey radiance washed over one of the Ancient Demons, instantly pulverizing its skull.

The sprinting Ancient Demon that had charged forward to attack Qin Hao stumbled and crashed to the ground, turning into a headless corpse.

Transforming the Chaos Force into beams of light, Qin Hao pierced the brains of five surrounding Ancient Demons simultaneously, dropping them to the ground.

Witnessing Qin Hao's heroic prowess, the blonde woman's eyes filled with deep admiration.

Her power of thought drifted toward Qin Hao, merged into his body, and vanished.

The woman blinked in surprise, her eyes lighting up immediately.

"Hero, you're a hero!"

She shouted aloud, but Qin Hao showed no reaction whatsoever, not even sparing her a glance. Realizing this, the woman switched to using the power of thought.

"Hero, save us."

Qin Hao glanced at her coldly.

"Just now, it seemed you were the one who said you killed your hero."

As his thought wave was transmitted, the woman's face drained of color.

In the next moment, her eyes filled with absolute terror, for a streak of grey light was hurtling straight toward her.
