Chapter 113: The Battle of the Sea Domain

The Liquid Walkers feared the blood-colored aura surrounding Qin Hao and, terrified, all slipped from the bridge pillars.
Hai Hanting’s eyes lit up at the sight.
“Control the seawater. We’ll make a circuit around them,” Qin Hao said.
How could Hai Hanting fail to understand what Qin Hao was doing?
By using the unique title to frighten the Liquid Walkers away, they could stop them from climbing the bridge pillars and give the humans a chance to survive.
“Good!”
Hai Hanting manipulated the seawater. Great waves surged forward, carrying the ice along with them.
Without Qin Hao needing to lift a finger, the deep-blue creatures began tumbling from the bridge pillars one after another.
Yet some Liquid Walkers did not flee because of Qin Hao’s curse. Instead, they grew even more enraged.
They were the Corrosive Liquid Walkers and the Venomous Liquid Walkers.
Qin Hao and Hai Hanting’s actions had provoked them.
Hai Hanting knew this as well, but for the sake of protecting the citizens, he could only grit his teeth and continue.
If these Liquid Walkers reached the bridge, the humans would have no hope of resisting them.
Among the evolved creatures, the Liquid Walkers were known as the Undying.
These creatures defied all human understanding. After countless attempts, people had only just discovered a way to kill them—and many survivors were incapable of doing so.
Now, all they could do was hope that the man before them could resolve everything.
At that moment, more and more Liquid Walkers were being driven from the bridge pillars by Qin Hao’s blood-colored curse. Hai Hanting immediately raised a tsunami, pushing the pitch-black creatures toward the open sea and away from the survivors.
Yet in the seawater, the Liquid Walkers seemed to have returned to their home planet, darting freely through the waves.
Several hundred Corrosive Liquid Walkers rapidly closed in on Qin Hao.
A massive wave crashed down, and a sheet of dark seawater climbed onto the hundred-meter glacier.
“Hiss, hiss, hiss!”
Even amid the thunderous roar of the waves, the sound of rapidly melting ice reached both men’s ears.
The wave receded, but along the edge of the glacier clung blue-black water that did not retreat.
Then the stain began to writhe, gradually taking on a bizarre form that was almost human.
It was a Corrosive Liquid Walker.
The creature seized the ice with its body, then suddenly leaped toward Qin Hao and Hai Hanting.
Hai Hanting was about to strike it with seawater when he saw an ice sword appear in Qin Hao’s hand. Qin Hao swung it at the Corrosive Liquid Walker.
In an instant, the creature was cleaved in two. Its two halves then hardened into solid ice.

“Explode!”
Qin Hao uttered the single word coldly.
The deep-blue ice suddenly burst apart.
A strange, date-pit-shaped core exploded, and the Corrosive Liquid Walker’s body completely dissolved into seawater. Star-energy drills fell to the ground with a series of ringing sounds.
The Corrosive Liquid Walker had actually been killed just like that.
Hai Hanting looked at Qin Hao and only then realized that Qin Hao’s strength far surpassed his own. It was even possible that Qin Hao was no longer a Second-Level Evolutionary.
Could he have already reached the third level?
Hai Hanting had no time to investigate further before a succession of attacks forced him to abandon the thought.
The first Corrosive Liquid Walker had clearly been nothing more than the vanguard.
And just then, Qin Hao unexpectedly deactivated the Liquid Walker Butcher title.
As soon as the title vanished, so too did the bloodthirsty aura that had made the Liquid Walkers tremble.
Without the curse to intimidate them, the creatures bared their fangs.
Although ordinary people stood upon the cross-sea bridge, the Liquid Walkers seemed even more intent on killing Qin Hao.
They surged forward in a vast mass. Before Qin Hao and Hai Hanting was an oppressive expanse of black, rushing toward them.
The gathered Liquid Walkers formed a terrifying tide.
A ten-meter-high wave of black creatures rose before them, so horrifying that it seemed ready to submerge their slab of floating ice.
“Fall back!”
Qin Hao shouted.
Hai Hanting hurriedly controlled the seawater and retreated, while tumultuous waves surged within his heart.
He now understood Qin Hao’s plan.
Qin Hao had deliberately provoked the Liquid Walkers, then drawn them away so they would not attack the cross-sea bridge, thereby ensuring the survivors’ safety.
But could the two of them withstand such a terrifying tide?
At that moment, even Hai Hanting began to regret coming here. In the apocalypse, he would never have continued serving as mayor unless his leader’s position brought him greater benefits. He had not yet become selfless enough to sacrifice his life for the entire population.
But after looking at Qin Hao, his resolve hardened once more.
The man’s expression remained as calm and composed as ever. Perhaps he had a way to bring all of this under control.
All Hai Hanting needed to do was cooperate with him.
With that thought, Hai Hanting drove the waves forward with all his might.
The tide formed by the terrifying Liquid Walkers gave the impression that a great building was about to collapse and the sea itself was pouring inland.

The seawater was almost upon them. It had reached the area behind them, less than fifty meters away, and even the floating ice had begun to tilt.
But at that moment, Qin Hao’s mental power erupted once more.
“Thunder!”
“Crack!”
A thunderclap of immense force exploded through the air. Purple flashes spread across the surface of the sea, expanding to a full hundred meters.
The entire wave was struck by lightning, blazing with violet light.
The survivors on the cross-sea bridge were startled by the tremendous thunder. Realizing that the metal canopy above their heads could attract lightning, they grew terrified. Yet the sound was strange—it seemed to have come from below.
Some people standing near the edge of the bridge instinctively looked toward the city. There, atop a gigantic wave by the shore that resembled a tsunami, purple lightning coiled through the air. Enormous clouds of smoke rose upward, and even the torrential rain could not extinguish them.
“What is that?” someone cried.
Countless people turned to look. Gradually, everyone on the bridge witnessed the strange sight.
At last, one of the heroes recognized what they were seeing.
“Liquid Walkers! Those waves are made of Liquid Walkers!”
Fear spread across the faces of all the survivors.
They knew what the Liquid Walkers were, but they had never imagined that the creatures would enter the sea and approach to within a mere hundred meters of them.
Yet they were puzzled by the lightning.
At that moment, the wave formed by the Liquid Walkers collapsed with a thunderous roar. A slab of floating ice emerged into view, rising and sinking amid the waves, conspicuous against the dark sea.
Only then did the people finally see clearly.
“It’s Mayor Hai!”
“Mayor Hai is holding back the Liquid Walkers!”
“The hunting team has returned! They said Mayor Hai jumped down to stop the Liquid Walkers. He drew them away! Mayor Hai is a true hero!”
Many people stood in the pouring rain, staring at the sea, and began to weep.
At that moment, Hai Hanting’s efforts touched the hearts of millions of survivors.
With every person contributing one hundred Hero Points, Hai Hanting’s Hero System accumulated more than a hundred million points.
Everyone prayed that Hai Hanting would survive this crisis.
