Volume One, Chapter 30: Suddenly Kissed
Ron suddenly leaped into the air, then flipped upside down and plunged straight toward Agatha. Agatha, however, didn't dodge at all, nor did she even look up; she simply thrust her sword upward with seeming casualness. The tips of their blades met, and a tremendous force surged along the sword points.
Shen Lu could never have imagined, not even in her wildest dreams, that when Jian Ning, lying in her hospital bed, saw that set of naked photos of Fu Tianze, she not only didn't get angry or blush, but actually let out a chuckle. She was even more excited than when she heard the passionate voice messages between Shen Lu and Fu Tianze.
No sooner had the words fallen than Liu Ziyun's murderous aura intensified. Wu Yue, who had the weakest cultivation, suddenly had a long gash split open on her arm, and blood poured out, instantly dyeing her arm a vivid red.
Jian Ning listened to Shen Lu's furious shouting on her backup phone, pressed the record button in silence, then hung up and switched the phone off.
When the great demons got angry, no inner or outer demons dared make a sound. Those at fault admitted it; those innocent dared not protest. In short, everyone obeyed the great demons without question.
Time continued its relentless march. The Demon King's divine consciousness, fueled by his frantic absorption of the players' mental energy, was beginning to surpass Long Tian.
Gu Jingchen's eyes were fixed on the photo of Jian Ning. Nine years ago, both he and she were so young, so tender. Whether it was the later "Jian Ning" or Mo Ran, whether similar faces or similar characters, they always reminded him of Jian Ning.
"Fine, I'll let you go for now!" Ron, frustrated by their crying, opened the hatch, and in the next instant, the Phantom Beast vanished before his eyes.
"You are very clever. I like your kind of intelligence." Gu Jingchen smiled, unable to find words other than praise.
Brother Chen originally said I could rest, and when I was rested enough, I could go to the base. But I felt I had rested enough and feared my mother would keep me, so I shifted the responsibility onto Brother Nian.
Amidst all the astonished gazes, Xiao Yang waved his hand, and two spiritual gates appeared, collecting both Xue Youmei and the Rocky Horned Dragon inside.
At that moment, all nine heads of Hydra erupted in a furious roar, and its massive claw came crashing down toward the two of them.
"Yue'er, what do you think? Isn't your husband impressive?" Jiang Tian beamed, first addressing Du Gu Yue.
They wanted to see who dared to challenge the authority of their Imperial Guard, who was so audacious as to intercept them.
After the Destroyer released its shockwave, the Demon Guards swiftly moved in front of the enemy, raising their axes and hacking forcefully.
Fire Dance, Ye Mo, and Qing Qing, who had been worrying about lacking equipment, brightened at the sight of the pile and hurriedly began picking out gear they could use.
At first, Rod met with a few people, since solidifying the position of Taoism in the surrounding provinces required work. But later, Rod realized that these people only spoke in official platitudes under the guise of friendship, offering little of substance.
Of course, the Knights of the Apocalypse had to possess absolute loyalty to Rod, with the resolve to do anything for him. They were the embodiment of darkness, the agents of destruction, the harbingers of death.
You... are you confident you can kill me? If not, leave quickly—I am giving you a chance to live.
So Zhang Han, following his old habit, stepped off the nanny van first and walked toward his house.
Meanwhile, Liu Shi sat quietly beside them. He possessed a keen sensitivity that most lacked. He noticed every subtle shift in Shu Yi's expression. He said nothing, only watched in silence, as if he had noticed nothing.
Suddenly, as the Soul-Sealing Scroll quivered violently, countless indecipherable symbols began to emerge at the very center of the painting.
"That's right, I challenge you to a duel. If you have the guts, come out!" Tang Jun shouted, his powerful aura abruptly surging.
Nie Wanluo wiped her tears and returned the handkerchief to Zhao Yuanhang. Zhao Yuanhang, somewhat disgusted yet unable to show it, awkwardly held it in his hand, unsure whether to grip it tightly or loosely. Just as he was hesitating, a mocking laugh came from across the way, where Qiao Neng sat inside a black Rolls-Royce.
In Zeng Guofan's memory, there seemed to be several acres of open space outside the Mingxiang Temple. Legend had it that Li Zicheng once came here to practice military formations.
"Damn it!" Shen Zhu cursed under his breath, immediately activating the 'Willows Sway in the Wind' technique from the Willow Leaf Sword Style. The green flying sword split into a cluster of vivid green lights, inflicting a heavy blow on the boss. Yet even this failed to shift the boss's aggro.
"Driver, follow that taxi with license plate ending in 045," Han Wei said, handing the driver five hundred. To retrieve the jade ring and the documents, such an expense was nothing. The driver, delighted with the payment, accelerated sharply and kept the target vehicle within sight.
Shao Fei was shaken, but he did not push away. He simply stood there in silence, deep in thought. Though he had escaped danger this time, he knew greater threats awaited in the future.
"You must be blind! Senior Brother Liu Yun is the top expert of the Outer Sect, at the first level of Qi Martial Realm!" shouted the warrior whose legs had been crippled.
