Jane and Daisy first called Dr. Erik Selvig to let him know they were heading to New York.

Afterward, Jane drove Tony to the airport. Since New Mexico was more than a thousand kilometers away from New York, driving the entire distance was obviously out of the question.

Moreover, Thor had already promised that if they helped him, he would tell them some of the things they wanted to know.

Therefore, Jane paid out of pocket to buy two plane tickets, while Daisy paid for her own ticket out of her own wallet.

Musing aloud that this was a rare opportunity to visit the home of the ultra-wealthy American billionaire Tony Stark, Daisy cheerfully forked over the money for her fare.

The three of them boarded the flight to New York together.

Throughout the entire journey, Jane kept a close eye on Thor.

She noticed that although Thor felt a certain degree of wonder regarding some of Earth's technology, he was not overly loud or boisterous about it.

Clearly, Earth's technology only seemed somewhat novel to Thor; it was not as if he had never encountered anything similar before.

"What kind of person is Tony Stark?"

At that moment, Thor looked at the rather excited Daisy and asked.

Even though Tony Stark had not displayed any overt hostility, Thor felt it was still necessary to gather more information.

"If you're asking about his exploits from childhood to the present, I wouldn't be able to remember them all."

"Still, to sum Tony Stark up with a few simple labels:"

"A world-renowned genius inventor, a weapons manufacturer, a top-tier American billionaire with immense financial power."

"One of New York's most famous playboys—he's slept with an astonishing number of women, and every single one of them is a celebrity."

"He's also a superhero; after building the Iron Man armor, he's saved a great many people."

Daisy twirled her fingers, raising one finger for each label she rattled off.

"In other words, he's not a bad person?"

Hearing the final descriptor, Thor asked thoughtfully.

Daisy probably didn't know much about Tony Stark personally, so what she had just said likely represented the public's general impression of him.

"Mm-hmm."

Upon hearing the question, Daisy nodded without the slightest hesitation.

In the scientific community, Tony Stark could be considered a towering figure, having created numerous technologies that others could only look up to with awe.

"Then I can rest a bit easier."

Having received confirmation, Thor felt the unease in his heart dissipate and said with a smile.

From his earlier conversation with Tony Stark, he had already gathered that Tony seemed to have prior knowledge of his arrival and his weapon.

Given that he currently possessed less than ten percent of his usual strength, he naturally felt quite uncertain about his chances.

However, after learning that the other party was most likely a good person, he didn't have as many reservations left.

Jane had plenty of questions she wanted to ask Thor, but right now they were on an airplane, surrounded by prying eyes and ears.

If she asked casually and Thor carelessly answered without a second thought, letting those around them overhear might cause some unnecessary trouble.

Consequently, Jane used the time to organize the questions she wanted to ask and the things she wanted to learn, planning to have a proper conversation and get her answers once Thor retrieved his hammer.

Time flew by, and a few hours passed in the blink of an eye.

At noon, Jane, Daisy, and Thor rode in a car toward the Stark estate.

"What an enviable life."

Along the way up the mountain, Daisy pressed her entire face against the car window to gaze at the luxurious architecture nestled halfway up the slope.

While she and Jane were still burning brain cells over research fees and scrambling to make a living, the sudden appearance of a wealthy billionaire who never had to worry about food or shelter created a stark contrast—one that naturally stirred feelings of envy and longing, provided one didn't harbor resentment toward the rich.

"Can we really just walk in together?"

Seeing Daisy's lack of decorum, Jane felt a wave of exasperation, but she turned to Thor and asked with a hint of nervousness.

"You are the ones helping me, so of course bringing you along to have a look isn't a problem at all."

Hearing this, Thor broke into a smile and replied.

Although Tony Stark's luxurious estate looked extremely advanced, Thor was a god, a prince of Asgard.

He had long since witnessed countless displays of supreme wealth and splendor, so these sights at most surprised him; they were not enough to shock him.

"I can only drive you as far as here."

"You'll have to walk the rest of the way yourselves."

The driver said after dropping the three of them off in front of the estate's grand gates.

Countless people wished to visit Tony Stark, but the vast majority of them were never allowed through these gates.

"Alright, thank you."

Nodding slightly, Jane expressed her gratitude and stepped out of the car.

As soon as the driver made a U-turn and drove away, a magnetic and pleasant male voice rang out.

"Mr. Thor Odinson, Ms. Jane Foster, Ms. Daisy Lewis."

"My master has been waiting for quite some time. Please enter."

The estate gates automatically swung open.

"Who's speaking?"

Startled by the pleasant voice, Daisy looked around in bewilderment.

"There's no need to be alarmed. My name is Jarvis, an artificial intelligence created by Mr. Stark."

Jarvis explained smoothly.

"Tony Stark actually built an artificial intelligence?"

Hearing this, Daisy widened her eyes, her jaw dropping in sheer disbelief as she spoke in shock.

She knew Tony Stark was a super genius, but she never imagined he was a genius to this extent.

The field of artificial intelligence was still strictly a conceptual theory during this era, yet Tony Stark had already quietly brought it to life.

"If you follow the path illuminated by the lights to the end, you will meet Mr. Stark."

Jarvis stated.

Looking ahead at the pathway as the surrounding lights clicked on one by one, Thor began to walk forward.

"Jarvis, right? Tony Stark seems to know quite a bit about me."

Thor asked as he walked.

"Mr. Stark has heard of your great name, but he wouldn't say he knows you all that well."

Jarvis replied evenly.

"He's heard of it? Where did he hear it from?"

Thor's eyes flashed as he pressed for an answer.

"Your name and exploits are recorded in various Earth mythological chronicles and children's storybooks."

"For further details, you can discuss them at your leisure once you meet Mr. Stark."

Jarvis's response was airtight.

"If he only knew about me from books, he wouldn't have accepted my identity so readily."

Thor's heart sank slightly as he spoke.

"Mr. Thor, you seem to have some reservations."

"Therefore, Mr. Stark asked me to convey a message: as long as you do not initiate hostilities, he guarantees he will not raise a hand against you."

"In fact, he very much hopes you will retrieve your Mjolnir as quickly as possible."

Jarvis paused for a moment before delivering the message.

Hearing these words, Thor realized that from the moment he set foot on this mountain, his every movement and word had likely been entirely within Tony's field of vision.

This realization left Thor deep in thought, and he temporarily held his tongue. Everything would become clear once he met Tony Stark and found out whether the man truly harbored any ulterior motives.
