Chapter 147 I am Thor, the God of Thunder
Meanwhile, in New Mexico.
Coulson had received instructions and rushed to New Mexico overnight.
After arriving at the location where the unknown energy was detected, aside from discovering a strange runic imprint, he found a massive crater, as if some heavy object had plummeted into the ground.
Fortunately, it was located in the wilderness; otherwise, the impact alone could easily have resulted in casualties.
Although Coulson found only a strange runic imprint and a huge crater, he still ordered his men to cordon off both areas.
According to the massive anomalous energy readings detected by S.H.I.E.L.D., this was very likely a supernatural event.
Of course, these runic imprints could also be some bizarre cult rituals, but all of this would require testing and verification by a professional team before a conclusion could be reached.
However, not long after Coulson had cordoned off the two locations, he received a message.
Within half an hour after the anomalous energy beam appeared last night, Tony Stark had been to this very place.
Furthermore, careful confirmation from satellite imagery when Tony returned to the vicinity of his estate showed that Tony was holding an object resembling a hammer.
This meant that what should have originally been found here had, in all likelihood, been taken away by Tony.
This put S.H.I.E.L.D. in a difficult position. Even if ordinary people had taken something, it wouldn't be difficult for them to retrieve it using their methods.
Yet, since the item was taken by Tony Stark, let alone getting it back, simply trying to extract any information from Tony's mouth was no easy task.
Therefore, Coulson could only hurry and handle the surrounding matters as best as he could.
Since Tony had intervened, this was nine times out of ten a supernatural event.
And supernatural events had to be covered up by any means necessary. According to satellite imagery, there had been eyewitnesses last night.
He had to deal with the witnesses first, or at least destroy the evidence; otherwise, if any footage leaked online, it could easily cause a massive sensation.

At the same time, in Asgard.
Heimdall, the gatekeeper, saw that Mjolnir, which had been cursed by the Allfather Odin, had genuinely been lifted by someone other than Thor and Hela.
Worse still, the person who lifted Mjolnir was not just one individual, but two.
This gave Heimdall a profound shock, making him secretly wonder whether the Allfather Odin had actually placed a curse at all.
Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that just as Mjolnir was sent down to Midgard, it encountered two people who met the criteria?
Yet he dared only entertain the thought in his mind, lacking the courage to voice the question.

The following day, Thor, the God of Thunder, awoke in a hospital.
"Heimdall, take me back."
"Heimdall?"
Thor looked at his surroundings, jumped down from the bed, and immediately began shouting.
He wanted Heimdall to transport him back to Asgard so he could speak with his father once more.
However, Heimdall, who in the past would respond instantly the moment he was called, gave no reply no matter how desperately Thor yelled.
This caused Thor to panic slightly. As a god, he had been cast down to Midgard and stripped of his exclusive weapon, Mjolnir. Such a drastic plummet would shatter anyone's mental state.
Thor's awakening drew the attention of some medical staff, creating a bit of a commotion.
Nevertheless, Thor quickly escaped from the hospital, desperate to find a way to locate his hammer and return to Asgard.
As soon as he stepped outside, he ran into two familiar-looking, attractive young women.
"Jane, look! Isn't that the man from last night?"
"How is he out of the hospital so soon?"
Darcy Lewis stared in disbelief at the handsome, powerfully built man who had sprinted out onto the road.
They had hurried over to check if the man they hit with their car was alright.
After all, this man had been struck by their vehicle last night; a normal person would have been hospitalized for quite some time, yet here he was, appearing completely fine.
Hearing Darcy's words, Jane Foster looked over as well. Sure enough, she saw the man who should have been confined to a hospital bed standing there full of vitality, showing not the slightest trace of injury from being hit by a car.
Jane's gaze flickered as her mind instantly recalled how last night this man had acted like a madman, repeatedly shouting the names of figures from mythological legends. She immediately stopped the car and walked over briskly.
"Are you okay?"
Jane intercepted Thor, who was still wearing a hospital gown.
"I seem to remember you."
Seeing the young, attractive woman block his path and appear genuinely concerned, vague fragments of memory surfaced in Thor's mind.
"Of course you remember us, we're the ones who hit you with our car last night."
"What's your name, handsome?"
"I'm Darcy Lewis."
Hearing Thor's question, Darcy replied with an easygoing, oblivious smile.
"I am Thor, the God of Thunder."
Seeing the other party actively introduce herself, Thor stated his own name as well.
"Are you sure you're not mentally ill or just doing some heavy roleplay?"
Although they had already witnessed this man's unhinged behavior last night, Darcy couldn't help but suspect he was still having an episode when she heard him introduce himself in such a manner.
"I have no time to talk to a crazy woman like you."
Sensing the look in Darcy's eyes, Thor frowned and said.
"My name is Jane Foster. We hit you last night."
"Please let us make it up to you."
Fascinated even further by the blonde, blue-eyed handsome man's bizarre introduction, Jane spoke up.
"Jane, look at how full of energy he is. I'm sure he doesn't need any compensation, right?" Darcy chimed in.
"If you're facing any problems, perhaps we can help."
Jane shot Darcy a glance before turning back to Thor, her expression sincere.
Last night, they had detected some extremely unusual energy signatures, which were then followed by a sudden storm.
This man had appeared right at the center of that storm, raving madly about names and objects from mythology—in particular, the mention of the Bifrost had prompted Dr. Erik to head straight to the library to research the archives.
"Then help me find a set of clothes."
Hearing this, Thor extended his right hand, intending to summon his armor directly. Finding that he could summon nothing, he looked at the young, attractive woman and spoke.
"Alright, follow us."
Noticing Thor make another bizarre gesture just before asking for their help, Jane felt even more determined to assist him.
As long as she helped him out, she might be able to use this man to find out the information she was searching for.
Although Thor desperately wanted to find Mjolnir, he knew that wandering around everywhere in a hospital gown would likely get him dragged straight back inside, so he followed Jane away.
