After ending the call, Liao Kun could not stop grinning. It seemed that the little girl from the Wanqi family was truly a treasure. Thanks to the military training, the overall quality of the students had more than doubled, many had earned military merits, and she had even discovered a Zerg nest.

In just two days since the semester began, she had helped him secure two top talents. Zhan Yu was a master of physical arts, and Kuang Shao was a master of mecha piloting.

Although Kuang Shao was not as proficient in mecha manufacturing as his father, he had been thoroughly immersed in the field under Kuang Hongyi’s influence since childhood. With this advantage, his piloting skills were exceptional; among the younger generation, there were very few who could rival him.

However, Liao Kun had yet to discover what exactly made the little girl of the Wanqi family so special. It seemed he would need to investigate further.

Kuang Hongyi was not as relaxed as Liao Kun. Having sent out forty mechas at once, including ten A-rank units, he felt as if his heart were bleeding.

Even after Kuang Hongyi hung up the comms, Kuang Shao remained stunned. How had he been sold off to the Federal First Military Academy? And sold at a loss, at that? Nobody wanted them for free, yet he had essentially paid to be taken by throwing in forty mechas.

He was furious. What on earth was the old man trying to do?

"What exactly are you trying to pull?" Kuang Shao demanded.

"If you don't bring Xuanxuan home as your wife, don't bother coming back," Kuang Hongyi said, cutting off any further argument. He turned and strode out toward his laboratory to continue studying the simulation mecha Xuanxuan had created. He needed to change his mood after losing forty mechas. Before leaving, he glared at Kuang Shao, muttering, "Useless brat."

If he had managed to win over Xuanxuan sooner, he wouldn't have had to sacrifice so many mechas.

Watching Kuang Hongyi leave, Kuang Shao gritted his teeth. Clearly, he wasn't his father’s biological son. Furthermore, "junior sister" figures were the absolute worst.

Xuanxuan lounged on the sofa, keeping Tong Wan company as they watched a soap opera that she didn't quite understand. She had no idea that Kuang Shao had also been "sold" to the Federal First Military Academy—and at a loss, no less.

She glanced at Wanqi Lianhao as he emerged from the study. His expression was grim. She then looked at Wanqi Weihao, who was following him; both of them had their heads hung low, looking rather dejected.

She pondered for a moment—had they gotten into trouble again?

Wanqi Lianhao’s face remained dark, and the two brothers dared not speak. It was only when Wanqi Yi returned home and called Wanqi Lianhao into the study that the two brothers finally let out a sigh of relief, slumping dispiritedly against the sofa.

"What mischief did you two get into this time to make your third uncle so angry?" Tong Wan asked with a smile. Wanqi Lianjun was often away, so the boys were usually under Wanqi Lianhao’s guidance. Although he wasn't old, he was quite steady.

Wanqi Weihan leaned over and grumbled unhappily, "We didn't do anything wrong!"

"If you didn't do anything wrong, why are you so crestfallen after being lectured by your third uncle?" Tong Wan covered her mouth to hide her laughter. She knew her children; they weren't capable of real trouble. They were just a bit rowdy, and it was probably good for them to be disciplined. She trusted Wanqi Lianhao’s judgment completely.

"It’s all Zhan Yu’s fault," Wanqi Weihan complained. If it weren't for him, none of this would be happening.

Xuanxuan shifted her gaze from the television and glanced at him. How did this involve Zhan Yu? Hadn't the incident from a while ago already been punished? Was her father digging up old history again?

"Zhan Yu?" At the mention of his name, Tong Wan’s eyes lit up. She had always thought highly of Zhan Yu, though Wanqi Yi and Wanqi Lianhao didn't seem to like him much. Otherwise, she would have started grooming him as a future grandson-in-law long ago.

It didn't seem too late, though. He had been stationed with the Zerg for so long, and now that he was finally back, she had the perfect opportunity to properly vet him.

"Yeah, I don't know why he suddenly showed up at our school to teach 'Physical Arts,' and he happens to be teaching our class," Wanqi Weihan explained.

Tong Wan tapped Wanqi Weihan on the head. "The Zhan family’s physical arts have always been the best. It’s your good fortune that the school invited him to teach you."

Wanqi Weihan pouted. Zhan Yu was impressive, sure, but—he glanced at the oblivious Xuanxuan—he was just annoyed because of her. He let out a frustrated, "Agh!"

"Learn properly from him. When he was your age, he was much better than you are now," Tong Wan admonished.

Wanqi Weihao and Wanqi Weihan nodded with darkened expressions, racking their brains for how to keep Xuanxuan away from him. Otherwise, they feared their third uncle would continue to vent his daily frustrations on them. The increasingly grueling morning training sessions were becoming more than they could bear.

Xuanxuan listened to them idly, but her attention was entirely focused on the study, listening to her father and uncle.

"Has the situation on the uninhabited planet been fully clarified?" Wanqi Yi asked.

Wanqi Lianhao nodded. "I went back to investigate again and searched the entire planet. They are indeed gone. The Zhan family wasn't lying."

Wanqi Yi frowned deeply. "And the research on the mutated Zerg?"

"Still no progress," Wanqi Lianhao sighed.

"Has Xuanxuan said anything?"

Wanqi Lianhao shook his head. "I didn't ask her. I'll wait until she’s settled into her coursework. I suspect she made quite a few enemies during the military training."

Wanqi Yi frowned, but they were just students; once the public opinion was guided, it wouldn't be a major issue. "Why didn't Weihao and the others look after Xuanxuan properly?"

"Xuanxuan wanted to be lazy, and I couldn't stop her." He sighed helplessly. He knew his daughter well; looking at how plump and healthy she had returned from the uninhabited planet, it was clear she hadn't suffered at all.

"Did you deal with that Xuan Guo?" Keeping her around as a plaything had really become a nuisance.

"The Zhan family said to keep her for now. They want to find clues based on the Zerg within her," Wanqi Lianhao said. Otherwise, he would have disposed of her long ago.

Xuanxuan smiled to herself. It was truly unnecessary; under the infestation of the Zerg, her fate would be no better than being disposed of. Why waste the effort? Still, hearing her father and uncle discuss the matter made her feel warm and happy. The feeling of being valued, cared for, and defended by her family when she was wronged was wonderful.

"Are the people from the Xuan family behaving themselves?"

Wanqi Lianhao sneered, "Ha, when have they ever?"

"I kept them around to see who was pulling their strings. Since we’ve found out, kick them out. Keep that Xuan Guo isolated so she doesn't cause any more trouble," Wanqi Yi said casually. Keeping them in the Imperial Capital had indeed helped them uncover some things regarding Xuanxuan's situation and his birthday incident.

Wanqi Lianhao nodded; he had been thinking the same thing.

"Don't just kick them out—send them far away, somewhere they can't return from. They’re an eyesore."

Wanqi Yi nodded. "Assign someone to keep a close watch on Xuan Guo. I suspect she will be the first one to try to harm Xuanxuan."

"Understood." Wanqi Lianhao nodded. He had already arranged for Xuanxuan’s protection and surveillance of Xuan Guo the moment they returned.

"What about the Bai family?" Wanqi Lianhao continued.

Wanqi Yi tapped the table, deep in thought. "Let’s wait and see. I don't think it’s that simple. They wouldn't have done these two things for no reason."

"Are we still keeping it from Big Brother?" Wanqi Lianhao asked.

Wanqi Yi nodded and sighed. "It’s my fault. The Bai family is holding a grudge against me."

"Father, don't you think it’s not that simple?" Wanqi Lianhao urged.

Xuanxuan raised an eyebrow. The Bai family? The same Bai family as Bai Rumeng? What did they have to do with her eldest uncle? And what had the Xuan family done under the Bai family’s instigation?

"Ultimately, if our relationship with the Bai family hadn't fractured, we wouldn't be in this situation today," Wanqi Yi said.

"Enough. Focus on investigating the Zerg; I don't believe it's that simple. Search the planets around the Imperial Capital thoroughly." Wanqi Yi changed the subject.

Wanqi Lianhao smiled bitterly. "We can only investigate the ordinary ones. Currently, only Xuanxuan and Lou Yitong can detect those special mutated Zerg, and even Lou Yitong can barely sense them."

"Sigh." To know your enemy is to win every battle, yet they were oblivious while the enemy had already infiltrated their side. They were currently in a passive position, knowing nothing.

Xuanxuan frowned slightly. They really needed to find a way to deal with this type of Zerg, but there were no good solutions yet.

"When Xuanxuan is on break, take her out to help. It’s good for her to gain some experience," Wanqi Yi said, then added, "I am increasingly grateful to her teacher."

Wanqi Lianhao nodded in agreement. Without Xuanxuan’s teacher, they would be even more vulnerable. "It’s a pity she went traveling. I’ll take Xuanxuan to the nearby planets this weekend."

"Take Weihao and the others, too, and her classmates. The younger generation is the future; we must cultivate them well," Wanqi Yi instructed.

Wanqi Lianhao nodded, mirroring his father's thoughts.

"How is that batch of potions coming along?" Wanqi Yi asked. It had been several years since Old Ji and his team started producing them, but only in the last few years had they seen significant results.

"The focus is on the 'Volcano Potion' and the 'Magic Source Potion,' along with some 'Antidote Potions' and a few potions that enhance physical strength and support the cultivation of physical arts and abilities, though those are fewer in number," Wanqi Lianhao reported.

The current large-scale production was truly fulfilling what Xuanxuan’s teacher had said about mass production. Before seeing it for himself, they wouldn't have even dared to imagine it.

Wanqi Yi grinned. "Don't let the strength-enhancing potions leak out; we’ll keep those for our own use. Tell Old Ji and the others to increase production of the other three types. We’ll discuss it with the Zhan and Kuang families and then announce those three potions at the Zhuji Tower auction in the Imperial Capital."

"Announce them?" Wanqi Lianhao was startled. Why broadcast it when they could keep it quiet and make a fortune? If they publicized it, he feared it would lead to trouble. It was too tempting to others.
