Uncle Chi let out a quiet sigh as well and did not try to persuade him any further. He merely said, “Sir, you should enjoy your later years in peace. The Second Young Master is taking care of everything else.”
Master Lu gave a soft snort, then rose with the support of his cane and slowly made his way toward the inner room.
As he passed a mountain bike resting nearby, however, he suddenly stopped and stared at it absently.
“Find a time to bring Xuanxuan back,” he said.
Uncle Chi looked at the bicycle. The First Young Master had bought it when he was in middle school, and it had been his favorite mountain bike.
Even now, it remained the only keepsake belonging to the First Young Master still left in this house.
“Yes, sir.” He rose and bowed respectfully.
Having followed the old master for so many years, Uncle Chi knew that deep down, he had always cared about the First Young Master and his family.
He had simply never been able to set aside his pride, even after the First Young Master and his wife died unexpectedly.
But the estrangement had never disappeared, and so it had remained with them.
All the old master could do was gaze at objects and yearn for the people they brought to mind.
When Jiang Sui arrived at the office building, Zhao Xin, Shi Heng, Jiang Lai, and Miaomiao were already waiting for her.
Jiang Sui had taken over the office building two days earlier and registered a company under her name: Star-Moon Culture.
When Jiang Sui appeared in the conference room fully disguised, Miaomiao had already risen and immediately hurried over to greet her with a smile.
“Sui-sui.”

Jiang Sui nodded, then went straight to the seat at the head of the table.
Several documents had already been placed before her.
There was Jiang Lai’s employment application, along with several contracts.
Jiang Sui removed her sunglasses, crossed her legs, and began reading through the papers one page at a time.
Shi Heng instinctively exchanged a glance with Jiang Lai.
Why did Jiang Sui look so much like a seasoned female executive?
She seemed perfectly at home, as if she were an emperor reviewing memorials.
Jiang Lai was equally astonished. He had originally assumed she was merely a wealthy heir looking for someone to partner with in a business venture. He had not expected her to be so serious, decisive, and efficient…
Before he knew it, her attitude had infected him, and he was already developing the urge to work earnestly for her.
Was this what people meant by being born with the soul of a corporate drone?
And if he remembered correctly, Mr. Zhao was a renowned lawyer in the industry.
He was famous enough that even people outside the circle had heard of him.
“Have you told Jiang Lai everything?” Jiang Sui asked Zhao Xin.
Zhao Xin nodded. “I’ve told him about the businesses under your name, as well as the acquisition plan you drafted earlier, your business expansion strategy, and the procedures involved.”
Jiang Sui nodded.

At present, she actually owned only one business: a toy store.
Thanks to the publicity generated by her celebrity status, the store’s business had been booming.
Her connection with the Shen family had also secured a reliable supply chain.
Although Brother Shen had intended to give the store to her and had already returned her money, she had not accepted it for free. Instead, she had transferred ten percent of the store’s shares to the Shen family.
Before dealing with the Shen family, she had never imagined they would be so enthusiastic as to give her the store outright.
Besides, the actual value of the store was lower than the price she had paid for it at the time.
She had bought it for ten million, which was already a premium price.
However, she had anticipated that the difference could be earned back through the celebrity effect she would bring to the business later.
In reality, the store was worth only a few million.
Since the Shen family had offered her such a favor, she decided to return the favor in kind.
After all, the merchandise she needed came from the Shen family’s factories, making them business partners in a sense.
“Since Zhao Xin has already told you everything, why don’t you tell us which company would be the most suitable for us to acquire next?” Jiang Sui asked, smiling as she looked at Jiang Lai.
