Chapter 136: How to Be Likable

Jiang Sui had not expected Aunt Zhang to come out last night and witness that scene. If it had been just that one moment, it might have been brushed off as a hallucination. But when combined with everything else... it did seem like something was a bit off.

Jiang Sui immediately said, "That’s not the case at all. Our house is perfectly normal. Aunt Zhang, you mustn't believe in superstitions; we must rely on science. You must have been half-asleep last night and seen things."

He said to Aunt Zhang, "Listen to the Madam—believe in science."

Jiang Sui was equally puzzled. The remark sounded strange no matter how she heard it.

"Then how did the fire start in the Master’s room?" Aunt Zhang asked curiously.

Lu Ye said indifferently, "I burned it by accident."

Aunt Zhang: "..."

Jiang Sui: "..."

Lu Xuanxuan, who had just walked out of her room, also blinked in confusion.

After finishing breakfast in an awkward atmosphere, Jiang Sui left the house.

"Goodbye, Mommy Jiang Sui," Xuanxuan waved.

"Goodbye," Jiang Sui said with a smile before adding sternly, "Be good at home, and don't make any trouble."

Xuanxuan nodded, "Understood!"

Jiang Sui looked at Lu Ye. She pulled back her waving hand and the smile on her face vanished instantly, yet she still said in a sweet voice, "Goodbye to you, too~"

With that, she turned and walked out the door.

Watching from the doorway, Xuanxuan said earnestly to Lu Ye, "Daddy, I don't think Mommy Jiang Sui likes you."

Xuanxuan tilted her head. "Because Mommy Jiang Sui doesn't smile at you. And you aren't as likable as I am."

Lu Ye frowned. "Likable?"

Xuanxuan perked up, taking on the air of a teacher. "Exactly! Daddy, look at how much Mommy Jiang Sui likes me now."

"Then how does one become likable?" Lu Ye asked seriously.

Xuanxuan counted on her fingers. "You have to stick to Mommy Jiang Sui, be sensible, and know how to cry—oh wait, you can't just cry whenever—you also have to hug and cuddle. That’s how you become likable..."

The voice on the other end of the phone had sounded extremely furious. Even the sound of the call being disconnected was sharp and decisive.

"Xuanxuan, do you like being with Mommy Jiang Sui?" Lu Ye looked at her and asked in a low voice.
