Stepping out of the agency, Chen Wen wore a troubled expression.
“Boss, actually… I still have several shops in the city center under my name.”
“How about…”
Su Wen looked at Chen Wen with her clear, bright eyes, as if hoping he would agree.
This was the true little wealthy lady, Chen Wen’s mouth twitched.
Several shops in the city center, and this might just be the tip of the iceberg.
“No, I want to build my own commercial empire.”
Chen Wen was resolute—this was his dream.
“Alright then…”
Seeing Su Wen pout, Chen Wen smiled and gently rubbed her small face.
“Come on, I’ll take you to eat something delicious.”
“Yay! [emojis]”
Su Wen immediately jumped up, tossing all the terrible things from yesterday out of her mind.
But suddenly, Su Wen quieted down and cautiously glanced at Chen Wen, asking in a tiny voice,
“Boss, tomorrow is the school sports day. I’m the class monitor, and I’m participating in the 800-meter race…”
“Can you come with me?”
Her voice grew softer and softer, almost invisible like a faint whisper.
Seeing Chen Wen’s expression turn serious, Su Wen quickly waved her hands anxiously, shaking her little head like a rattle.
“Boss, Su Wen can go by herself tomorrow…”
Chen Wen suddenly laughed aloud—this girl was just too adorable.
“Only tomorrow, right? Since the foot spa can’t open for now, I’ll accompany you for as many days as you want.”
Su Wen’s face instantly flushed with shyness. Really, accompany her for as long as she wanted? Could she possibly…
Snap.
A finger snap pulled Su Wen back to reality.
Before them was an ice cream shop with a sign advertising half-price for couples and buy-one-get-one-free.
Chen Wen smiled and asked Su Wen if she wanted some.
Without hesitation, Su Wen nodded immediately and took the ice cream, protecting it like a treasure in her palm.
Seeing Chen Wen take a big bite and the ice cream instantly halved, Su Wen finally began to eat.
She stuck out her tender little tongue, sucking it in bit by bit, the corner of her mouth stained with a trace of milky white.
Chen Wen suppressed the restless stirring in his heart and patted her head.
“You can’t eat ice cream like that…”
Such an adorable young girl licking the ice cream with her tongue—who could resist such a sight?
“Look at me, I eat it in one bite. That’s the proper way to eat ice cream.”
Curious, Su Wen looked at Chen Wen, then at her own ice cream, blinked, and imitated him with a big bite.

Immediately, a chill surged wildly in her mouth, making her groan.
Finally swallowing, Su Wen stared at him with teary eyes.
“Boss, it’s so cold.”
Chen Wen couldn’t help but laugh, wiping the ice cream off the corner of her mouth with his fingertip.
“Let’s go eat.”
They found an affordable yet delicious buffet restaurant. Chen Wen wandered about alone, grabbing a huge pile of food.
Seafood, barbecue, stir-fries…
Back at the table, Chen Wen realized Su Wen was nowhere to be seen—she probably went to get something herself.
“How much is she going to take? Why is it taking so long?”
Chen Wen complained, waiting another two minutes. Still no sign of Su Wen.
He started to get a little anxious. Su Wen was such a cute girl—what if a kidnapper snatched her? That would be terrible.
“Why aren’t you back yet?”
He sent her a message but got no reply.
Chen Wen immediately put down his food and began to anxiously search.
Just then, his phone rang.
“Uh… I might be lost.”
Chen Wen felt like he’d been struck by lightning. Lost? She got lost inside the restaurant?
The buffet wasn’t really that big, but not small either. Su Wen, that silly girl, actually got lost? Chen Wen found it somewhat amusing, but thankfully she was safe.
“Losty.”
Su Wen blushed deeply when she saw the two words Chen Wen sent.
“Describe what’s around you.”
“There’s a cute little panda.”
Chen Wen: [expression] (O_O;)
Looking around, the restaurant was full of panda decorations—black, white, patterned, some with dark circles around their eyes, some without…
“Boss, you’re so dumb.”
Chen Wen’s mouth twitched. How could she say that? Which silly person got lost in the restaurant anyway?
Eventually, he found Su Wen in a corner, holding a bowl of noodles, staring blankly at a panda plush.
Chen Wen patted her shoulder from behind. Su Wen turned around and immediately smiled.
“Still smiling, you’re really foolish—getting lost in a restaurant.”
The noodles were steaming hot. Chen Wen took her hand and led her back to their table.
“Boss, here.”
Su Wen handed over the noodles. The quantity was obviously off—just about half the usual amount. She must have sneaked a bite while waiting.
“What’s with the noodles? Go get something expensive.”
Chen Wen said it, but his hands didn’t stop moving. For some reason, the noodles gave off a unique aroma.

Su Wen said innocently,
“Because the boss’s place tastes good too.”
Suddenly, the restaurant fell silent for a moment.
What kind of beastly words were those? Another adorable girl suffering workplace bullying, and she said something like that—utterly shameless!
Chen Wen choked and coughed. This girl definitely missed her elementary literature class. Could she please express herself more clearly?
“Uh… the meat.”
Su Wen immediately nodded obediently, picked up a slice of beef, dipped it in some sauce, and offered it to Chen Wen’s mouth.
The strange seasoning made Chen Wen’s expression stiffen, but he forced himself to swallow.
Just then, Su Wen’s words broke through his defenses.
“Boss, is it cooked?”
Good grief, testing the boss’s taste?
“Should be… cooked.”
Chen Wen tried to sip the gardenia-flavored drink to mask the seasoning’s taste.
But Su Wen noticed the drink in his hand. Her silly little brain suddenly seemed to speed up, and her eyes gleamed with mischief as she looked expectantly at Chen Wen.
“Boss, does the gardenia smell nice?”
Chen Wen didn’t quite catch her meaning at first and replied casually,
“The drink’s okay.”
“Then which smells better, the drink or Su Wen’s scent?”
…
Near Quanzhou University, the Goddess Foot Spa.
The entire shop was still under renovation, except for Su Wen’s small room, which remained intact.
“Boss, you still haven’t answered my question.”
Chen Wen’s face flushed. For a moment, he didn’t know how to respond. Letting a girl know he liked the way she smelled would sound a bit creepy.
Just as he was about to answer honestly, he turned and saw Su Wen furrow her brows, her once rosy face turning pale.
“Su Wen, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”
He supported her, giving her something to lean on.
“N-no…”
Su Wen’s voice was very weak.
Carrying her back to bed, Su Wen seemed a little better but still clutched her stomach.
Seeing her actions, Chen Wen couldn’t help but understand what had happened.
