“Boss Qin, would you like to try some of this juice? It’s delicious!” A customer approached her with a cup of rose-red juice in hand, an eager smile on his face. “Don’t worry—I haven’t drunk from it yet.”

Qin Yueran found his sales pitch strangely familiar. Wasn’t this exactly like the story about Happy Jumping Fish Soup? She certainly hadn’t forgotten that incident!

So she mercilessly refused. “No, thank you.”

She didn’t possess their advanced sense of fashion—or their courage to act deranged in public. At most, she might dare to try something like this secretly when she was alone.

“Oh, all right.” The man lowered his head in disappointment. A moment later, unable to give up, he asked again, “It really is delicious. If I don’t share it with everyone, I just won’t be able to rest easy!”

Qin Yueran: “…”

That sales pitch was even more familiar now.

The corner of Qin Yueran’s mouth twitched, but she rejected him just as ruthlessly.

The man sighed, drained the drink in one gulp, and then let out a long belch.

“Buuuuuurp—”

A large crowd turned to look. Then they saw Qin Yueran’s eyes light up.

“Boss Qin!”

Qin Yueran: “…”

Enough already! What on earth was happening?!

People gradually gathered around Qin Yueran, and a whole assortment of different voices became tangled together in her ears.

Oh, for heaven’s sake!

Qin Yueran stared speechlessly at the sky.

“Are you composing a piece of music? An animal symphony?” Qin Yueran looked at them with a deathly smile.

But not only did they fail to notice anything wrong, they thought her suggestion was excellent.

“That’s a great idea!” one person exclaimed excitedly.

“We’ll have to give it a try later,” another chimed in.

Then they began chatting among themselves, each adding a word or two.

Qin Yueran sighed. This wasn’t something they were planning to do later—they had already started discussing it…

Utterly speechless, she took advantage of the moment when they had forgotten about her and teleported away.

Back on the top floor, Qin Yueran collapsed onto the sofa and said weakly, “Hu Hu, bring up the surveillance footage from this morning. I want to watch it!”

Hu Hu responded promptly and displayed the footage in ultra-high definition.

With great enthusiasm, Qin Yueran ordered barbecue from the shop, fetched some milk tea, arranged everything on the coffee table, and settled in to enjoy the video.

She had to admit, it was practically like watching an action film—and even more spectacular.

Qin Yueran couldn’t imagine how impressive it would have looked with special effects… No, with spiritual energy.

“Hey, isn’t that one of the guests from the island? Why is he helping the beautiful woman in white and the handsome man dressed all in black?” Qin Yueran pointed at someone and asked Hu Hu.

She had assumed he was going to help Gu Yuanyuan. Instead, the man had slammed on the brakes, turned around, and joined the fight against Gu Yuanyuan.

“Oh, he’s helping his Demon Venerable. He’s from the demon race,” Hu Hu explained after identifying the person Qin Yueran had indicated.

“What?” Qin Yueran stopped chewing her barbecue and stared blankly. “How come I didn’t know there were demons on the island?”

Hu Hu turned around in surprise. “What? It’s listed in the registration information. And there aren’t only demons—there are also members of the yao race! Though the yao only arrived on the island today.”

“The yao don’t participate in activities within the Black Mist Realm, so they only came over after the passage opened.”

Qin Yueran: “…”

“Ah, well, I only checked the information for the people who arrived at the beginning. I haven’t looked at anyone else’s since then. You know how the number of guests keeps growing…” Qin Yueran sighed. “But I’m just as busy as ever.”

“Never mind that. Let’s keep watching.” Qin Yueran swiftly employed the ancient art of changing the subject.

One woman and one tiger continued watching the footage. Yu Lishu and the people he had brought with him joined the melee, instantly reversing the situation. At the very least, the two sides could now trade blows instead of one side being completely overwhelmed.

Halfway through the fight, someone on the opposing side recognized Yu Lishu, and the chaotic battle finally came to an end.

Qin Yueran glanced at Gu Yuanyuan’s face on the video. It hadn’t changed. Unable to suppress her curiosity, she had Hu Hu pull up another recording.

She was determined to see how Gu Yuanyuan had undergone such a dramatic transformation!

The video went straight to the important part. The moment Cheng Shuangshuang and Shi Qingyu’s group came ashore, they headed directly for Gu Yuanyuan, completely ignoring Yu Lishu’s greeting.

The ignored Yu Lishu: “…?”

He was utterly baffled. Had they simply not seen him? Watching the group disappear into the distance, he shook his head helplessly.

“Gu Yuanyuan!” Cheng Shuangshuang shouted the moment she spotted him.

Gu Yuanyuan immediately turned and ran.

But he was caught in no time. Cheng Shuangshuang flexed her fingers with a series of sharp cracks and smiled. “Senior Sister has been wanting to spar with you lately. Come on—let’s have a match.”

Gu Yuanyuan felt that he was doomed. That smile clearly wasn’t sincere. It looked terrifying!

He turned toward Shi Qingyu. She said nothing, merely watching him with an eager look in her eyes. Clearly, she felt the same way.

As for everyone else, they stood to one side and watched gleefully, cheering and shouting, “Senior Sister, you can do it!”

Gu Yuanyuan: “…Senior Sister, I was wrong.”

Gu Yuanyuan dropped to his knees and surrendered with astonishing speed.

“Oh?” Cheng Shuangshuang asked. “What were you wrong about?”

Gu Yuanyuan: “I shouldn’t have made that post?”

Cheng Shuangshuang remained expressionless.

Gu Yuanyuan’s heart jolted. Wasn’t that the mistake she meant? What else had he done wrong?!

He hurriedly added, “Fine, I was wrong about everything!”

Heh. He really was clever.

Cheng Shuangshuang stretched her limbs. “Since you were wrong, then let’s have a fight!”

“How about you fight Senior Brother Yu instead?” Gu Yuanyuan asked, swallowing nervously.

Shi Qingyu’s eyes shifted slightly, and she froze.

Senior Brother Yu?

Within the Heavenly Extreme Sect, the only person known as Senior Brother Yu was Yu Lishu.

Her delicate brows drew together. Could Yu Lishu have entered the Black Mist Realm as well?!

“Stop wasting time. Take this!” Before Shi Qingyu could ask, Cheng Shuangshuang gave a loud shout and charged at Gu Yuanyuan.

Gu Yuanyuan was forced to meet her attack, and the two began fighting.

Blades flashed and swords gleamed; every punch landed with solid force. In the end, Cheng Shuangshuang beat Gu Yuanyuan into the state Qin Yueran had seen afterward.

However, Qin Yueran noticed that Cheng Shuangshuang had not deliberately targeted his face. Gu Yuanyuan had simply met her attacks with his face several times.

Cheng Shuangshuang was speechless. “What is wrong with you?”

Gu Yuanyuan, his face swollen, replied, “I was nervous…”

Cheng Shuangshuang: “…”

She had never seen anyone respond to nervousness by taking attacks with his face.

Cheng Shuangshuang looked toward Shi Qingyu. Gu Yuanyuan followed her gaze.

Oh, no. There was another one!

Against him, Shi Qingyu was overwhelmingly superior. She casually swung her sword a few times and knocked him flat on the ground. Qin Yueran suspected that Gu Yuanyuan had plenty of bruises elsewhere on his body as well.

“Junior Brother Gu has been slacking off,” Shi Qingyu added.

Gu Yuanyuan whimpered, “Senior Sister is right.”

Shi Qingyu pulled Gu Yuanyuan to his feet and asked coolly, “You were talking about Senior Brother Yu Lishu just now, weren’t you?”

Gu Yuanyuan nodded. “Yesh!”

“Did Senior Brother Yu enter the Black Mist Realm?” Cheng Shuangshuang asked with a frown. The other disciples’ expressions changed as well.

Seeing that they had misunderstood, Gu Yuanyuan hurriedly explained, “No, no. He came in through the passage.”

Gu Yuanyuan recounted the whole story to Shi Qingyu and the others. Then he said, “Zhat’s the good news Boss Qin was talking about.”

The disciples around them brightened.

“That’s wonderful! I was worried about what we’d do once we used up everything we brought with us!”

Shi Qingyu and Cheng Shuangshuang also showed faint smiles of delight.
