Ning Lu rejected Lu Yanfeng's gift, though he insisted on leaving the agreement behind before departing after receiving a phone call. Once Lu Yanfeng left, Ning Lu stared blankly at the agreement on the table. For her, there was nothing she needed; her only desire was to find Ning Xiang. It was past eleven at night, and thinking that everyone else was asleep, she went downstairs for a walk. Ning Lu turned into the kitchen to pour a glass of water and walked out holding the cup.

After all, at their level of cultivation, the range of influence of every powerful technique is terrifying. Since the threat had been neutralized, the two of them rushed over, intending to take Song Lingya away. Even though Xuanyuan Lin had not been found, they could not worry about that anymore; saving her was the priority.
"Of course I know, Yi Haocheng. You didn't explain things clearly to me last time. What exactly happened with Bai Liusheng? Does it really have nothing to do with you?" Zhou Jieyi certainly didn't ask me to retrieve something just for the sake of it; she had something she wanted to ask me.
"Since you have come from afar, please, have some tea," Su Yanran said, lifting her teacup as she addressed Bai Kui and the others sitting on the steps below.

That night, Wu Guangcai had many dreams—either being hunted by criminals or pursued by the police—leaving him exhausted. Had it not been for these extraordinary times, he would have surely gone back to sleep, but that was not an option today; he had to drag his weary body to work.
Gu Zhiqiu nodded and motioned for me and Mao Qiansui to move closer, implying that he truly had a solution.
Watching a handsome, macho man endorse such products was truly laughable, especially when he recited those classic lines. Xu Feng was very curious about what Da Wang was feeling inside.
Chen Qingyang stood still, recalling the mysterious, meaningful smile Song Kui wore before leaving. He sensed that Song Kui had never really held much malice toward him from the start, and his words seemed to be conveying some sort of message.
"County Magistrate, I can't handle this; you have to step in yourself," Pu Liang said, his face full of indignation.
However, the Soul Tribe members were under the command of the Red-Clad One, and with old grudges and new hatreds fermenting between the two, a pursuit across the wilderness ensued.
Zha Hu looked his sister up and down and asked, "How do you feel after returning to your spirit form? How much have you recovered? Can you protect yourself?"
They were mostly elderly ghosts who had died of natural causes, so they posed no threat.
Whether in the past or the present, comparing Zhou Yao and Liang Shen was like comparing heaven and earth; they were simply in different leagues.

Regardless, he would cross the bridge when he came to it. Since the pseudo-dragon had been dealt with, Lu Fang could take its horns back as well, counting it as the completion of an A-rank mission—a worthy reward for having braved life and death.
There was also a glass of water on the table, but it had long since gone cold. Wang Bo examined it carefully and even checked the trash bin, but found nothing suspicious.
Hearing Yan Li's explanation, Shang Chen finally understood that this was not a world independent to the beetles, but a complete world.
Shi Xinlan smiled and said, "Why apologize? I was worried that you might be feeling unwell today." As she said this, she immediately looked toward Wang Zhizhi, who was beside Mu Jingchi.
When Assistant Yu asked this question, Mu Jingchi did not answer; he simply paced toward the interior of the house.
Mo Yan had seen Qing Ling a few times before. In the past, she had accompanied the Empress, and later, when the Empress stopped coming, she would occasionally come to find Mao Leyan to pick a fight out of boredom. In reality, it was nothing more than mocking Mao Leyan for being out of favor; after all, having been in the palace for half a year without receiving any royal attention, she was indeed in a pitiful state.
