4 Wanting to Kiss Him
Zhou Hao’s expression stiffened, his obsequious smile still frozen on his face.
"You really have a poor memory, junior," he sneered, though his hand remained resting on Lu Mingzhou’s shoulder.
"Sorry, who are you?" Lu Mingzhou tilted his head slightly, his gaze dropping to the hand on his shoulder as a faint chill seeped into his eyes. "Do you have some strange fetish? Why are you always laying your hands on people?"
Before the words had even finished echoing, a crisp snapping sound rang out. Zhou Hao, who had been incredibly arrogant just a moment ago, clutched his wrist and stumbled to the ground, his face twisted in pain and humiliation.
*Hiss—* That looked truly painful. The onlookers couldn't help but wince.
"My mistake, sorry." Lu Mingzhou returned Zhou Hao’s own words to him, his tone surprisingly apologetic and polite.
If the crowd hadn't seen his calm and composed expression, they might have actually believed it was an accident.
"Luo Wen is my friend." Lu Mingzhou shoved his hands back into his pockets, a wicked, lopsided smile playing on his lips. "It’s all a misunderstanding. Nothing to see here, everyone move along."
Under his warning, the crowd dispersed in twos and threes.
Zhou Hao cast a hateful glare at Lu Mingzhou, but when he saw the other man staring back at him with a blank expression, he couldn't help but shrink away.
Once Luo Wen realized what had happened, he lowered his long lashes, unable to hide the surprise in his eyes. He then tucked his chin, his gaze shifting quietly to Lu Mingzhou, who was standing with his arms crossed and a cold smirk on his face. He tilted his head, biting his lower lip, his heart filled with an indescribable emotion.
Zhou Hao didn't dare to resent the devilish Lu Mingzhou, but the powerless, destitute Luo Wen was an easy target for him to bully. He gritted his teeth and glared at Luo Wen, his eyes filled with venom.
Luo Wen noticed. He frowned, met Zhou Hao’s gaze, and curled his lips into a mocking smile.
That look seemed to say: *Weren't you very arrogant just now?*
Seeing that Luo Wen was not afraid but instead daring to provoke him, Zhou Hao’s rage flared up. Combined with the shame of losing face in front of his classmates, he staggered to his feet and prepared to throw a punch.
"You bitch!"
However, before he could do anything, Lu Mingzhou strode forward and seized his hand.
"Enough!" Lu Mingzhou hadn't originally wanted to make a scene; he just wanted to teach a bully like Zhou Hao a lesson so he would know that Luo Wen had him backing him up. But seeing the man’s face twisted with hatred, Lu Mingzhou’s expression darkened instantly.
The crowd had mostly dispersed by now, and those who didn't want to leave were dragged away by friends familiar with Lu Mingzhou's reputation.
"Go close the door," Lu Mingzhou said, pulling Luo Wen behind him.
"Host, he’s still a kid! You absolutely cannot let him off the hook!" The System, loving the drama, cheered in Lu Mingzhou’s ear.
"New plot points unlocked!" With a crisp notification sound, both human and System quickly scanned the new developments.
Lu Mingzhou clenched his fists, his face sinking like a heavy, dark cloud; it could no longer be described as merely ugly.
He had heard a bit of the confrontation from outside. Lu Mingzhou was gratified that Luo Wen had stood his ground against a piece of scum like Zhou Hao, who caused trouble out of jealousy. He was worthy of being a future professor—logical, articulate, and rational. If it were Lu Mingzhou, he would have skipped the formalities and beaten Zhou Hao until his own parents wouldn't recognize him.
But on second thought, it wasn't that Luo Wen didn't want to be that ruthless; he simply couldn't. Facing ordinary people, this tough stance was enough to handle most trouble. But the problem was that Luo Wen didn't know this wasn't a normal world. As a villain written to be abused, the entire world seemed to be pouring malice onto him.
According to the newly unlocked plot, Luo Wen was currently physically weakened from the tragic encounter the previous night. In the original plot, he had been just as tough, eventually getting into a physical fight with his roommates. But because his body hadn't recovered, his clothes were torn off during the scuffle, inadvertently exposing his bruised and scarred body. With many onlookers filming and posting photos on the forum with filthy, insulting text, it became an instant sensation, and even surrounding schools began to spread rumors. Although Luo Wen had excellent grades and teachers stood up for him, he was eventually ostracized from the university social circle and lost his recommendation for graduate school.
Lu Mingzhou had seen the character card for that scene. The young man stood in a setting meant to resemble the center of a stage, with rows of blinding spotlights above him and malicious, shadowy figures lurking in the darkness behind him. Under the lights, his black hair and shirt made his lines sharp and distinct; he looked tall and deathly pale. He was thin to begin with, but on the card, he looked even more fragile, his expression numb, the teardrop mole beneath his eye dimmed as if he were a wandering ghost with his soul snatched away, ready to be blown away by a gust of wind.
"So you like stripping people, huh?" The image of the young man’s dull, lifeless face flickered in Lu Mingzhou’s mind. A wave of irritation surged in his heart, a desire to smash the world to pieces.
His brows knit together, his expression cold enough to drip water. He endured and endured. The calm he had painstakingly cultivated before coming to this world completely shattered. He couldn't hold back anymore, and with one punch, he knocked Zhou Hao to the ground. Then, to the shock of everyone else, he leaned down, grabbed Zhou Hao by the collar, and dragged him into a corner like a dead dog.
Lu Mingzhou was notorious. The other roommates were not the type to act with righteousness or bravery. Seeing Zhou Hao being beaten—and recalling their own poor treatment of Luo Wen—they all trembled, terrified that Lu Mingzhou would notice them and implicate them. They watched Zhou Hao’s miserable state, their eyelids twitching, not even daring to breathe loudly.
Fists thudded against flesh. It was a completely one-sided beating, and from the perspective of the onlookers, it was incredibly vicious.
Luo Wen’s fingertips trembled slightly, his long lashes casting heavy shadows on his fair face. His gaze was fixed on the grim, fierce-looking Lu Mingzhou, staring intently as if he couldn't bear to blink.
[Villain's hatred value has decreased! Current hatred value: 78]
All that hard work, and back to square one. Lu Mingzhou heard the System sigh in relief, but he remained sullen. As a former hell-raiser, Lu Mingzhou had been in countless fights and knew exactly how to make someone suffer without breaking their bones.
Lu Mingzhou paused for a moment, then his movements became even more ruthless.
A minute later, he stopped. He stripped Zhou Hao’s clothes off, pulled out his phone, and took several photos. Then he crouched down and patted the panting, half-dead Zhou Hao, smiling brightly. "What’s wrong? Does it feel good? Do you dare to lay hands on people next time?"
Zhou Hao was in agonizing pain. His handsome face was intact, but his body was racked with wave after wave of pain. He couldn't even speak clearly. Seeing Lu Mingzhou lean in close, he was filled with terror and could only shake and nod his head frantically, looking much more obedient.
Lu Mingzhou watched him coldly for a moment before rising leisurely, rotating his sore wrist. He turned around and saw Luo Wen staring at him intently, thinking he was scared, so he grabbed his hand.
For a moment, the young man with lowered eyes before him perfectly overlapped with the image of Luo Wen on the card. Lu Mingzhou tightened his grip on the other man's hand and frowned. *Why is he so cold?* Seeing the other man looking dazed, as if lost in thought, his brow furrowed deeper, thinking he had frightened him. He curled his lips. "Don't be afraid." He wasn't going to eat him.
His grip was actually a bit too tight, pulling at the raw skin on Luo Wen’s palm, causing a faint sting. But feeling the warmth of Lu Mingzhou’s palm, Luo Wen just quietly lowered his eyes and shook his head.
Whether it was the exhaustion from the confrontation or the lack of sleep the previous night, Luo Wen felt a bit dizzy. His footing became unstable, and he couldn't help but lean closer to Lu Mingzhou, as if seeking something to support him.
*Those two bastards!* Zhou Hao’s eyelids twitched, his heart filled with anger and resentment. He wasn't the one being beaten, so what was he afraid of?
Lu Mingzhou saw him acting up and kicked him again. Only then did Zhou Hao quiet down, lying limp on the floor, motionless.
"Is it clear what should and shouldn't be said?" Lu Mingzhou rubbed Luo Wen’s wrist, not bothering to hide it as he looked at the trembling roommates standing nearby.
The two saw Zhou Hao beaten into a pile of mud and were nearly scared out of their wits. Hearing Lu Mingzhou’s words, they nodded like chickens pecking at grain. They weren't stupid; if the person being beaten didn't dare to make a sound, why would they stick their necks out? Zhou Hao hadn't been wrong earlier—Luo Wen did have a sugar daddy, but that daddy was too big a figure, the difficult Lu Mingzhou, someone they couldn't afford to provoke.
Seeing them acting like quails, Lu Mingzhou ignored them and turned to Luo Wen. "Are you staying here, or are you coming with me?"
Luo Wen looked at the chaotic dorm room, knowing that after burning his bridges, he couldn't stay here tonight. He struggled to collect himself, shook his head, and said, "With you."
Lu Mingzhou understood. He tilted his chin, signaling the two people standing aside who didn't dare to breathe loudly. "You two, help Luo Wen pack his things."
Luo Wen hadn't expected him to make him move out immediately, and a look of hesitation flickered across his pale face. Renting a place on his own would be an extra burden, and going with Lu Mingzhou meant owing him another favor, which he was even less willing to do.
Lu Mingzhou saw his expression and knew what he was thinking. Honestly, he thought Luo Wen was quite stubborn. If it were anyone else, they would have happily accepted the luxury cars and mansions after being kept, instead of clinging to this shabby dorm. Perhaps it was truly his integrity; making such a person bow was difficult, and breaking his pride further was even harder.
Lu Mingzhou seemed to see the image of that Professor Luo in a suit and tie, looking serious. He sighed. "I'll have someone find you a new dorm later."
Lu Mingzhou had relatives in the school's administration. Changing a dorm room was difficult for an ordinary student, but for him, it was just a matter of saying a few words.
Seeing Luo Wen open his mouth as if to say something, he reached out and touched his hair. "Be obedient."
"..." Luo Wen pursed his lips and silently began to pack his luggage. He had very few belongings—just some daily necessities, adding up to only one suitcase.
Seeing his slow movements and the way he seemed to be swaying, the young Master Lu sighed and crouched down to help him pack. Once they were done, Lu Mingzhou naturally took the suitcase from his hand and strode forward, his posture like a victorious general returning from battle.
Luo Wen paused, a smile appearing on his lips at some point. He waited until the young master stopped and turned his head, glaring at him impatiently.
"What are you daydreaming about?" The other man spoke with a short temper, yet his feet remained planted on the spot.
Luo Wen quickened his pace, following him like a little tail. Both of them ignored the gazes and whispers coming from every direction.
The black car wove through the traffic like the wind, arriving at their destination shortly. Luo Wen looked up; this was his second time at the villa, but this time, his inner anxiety and unease had lessened significantly.
Luo Wen went to put his luggage away, while Lu Mingzhou stretched his long legs out onto the coffee table, replying to messages on his phone with a nonchalant expression. There were a few scratches on the back of his hand, some bleeding slightly from the fight earlier. Lu Mingzhou didn't mind, leaning against the sofa and tilting his head to look at the screen.
They had a group chat for his "fox friends and dog companions," and the original body was a group admin. The group was always posting photos of pretty, young men and women, and their conversations were always about eating, drinking, and playing—a foul, murky mess.
Lu Mingzhou frowned as he read it. Just as he was about to close the app, he saw someone suddenly tag him.
"@Lu Mingzhou, heard you played the hero saving the beauty?"
Lu Mingzhou didn't respond, but soon the message was copied and pasted in the group, repeatedly tagging him.
Lu Mingzhou ignored it as Luo Wen walked out of the bedroom. He was no longer wearing the black shirt Lu Mingzhou had given him, but had changed into a slightly worn but very clean T-shirt with a cartoon character printed on it.
The supposedly renowned Professor Luo stood quietly by the sofa, lost in thought. His gaze was fixed, and his hair, dampened from washing, was sticking up in messy tufts, making him look surprisingly adorable.
Lu Mingzhou gave him a slight tug, and Luo Wen fell onto him. He held his phone in one hand while his other hand gripped Luo Wen’s waist. The first impression was how thin it was, as if it could snap with a slight bend. But after spending the night together, Lu Mingzhou knew that although Luo Wen was thin, he had every bit of abdominal muscle he was supposed to have.
*Should I say it's because he's a villain? He can be sick and want to destroy the world, but his looks and physique are absolutely outstanding.*
Lu Mingzhou’s legs pressed between his knees, subconsciously stroking his waist. The warmth of his skin seeped through the fabric, becoming increasingly scorching.
Luo Wen sat on Lu Mingzhou in a half-prone position. His previously pale face was now slowly flushing with a faint red hue. The lingering heat from their intimate night still remained, and as their breaths mingled, Luo Wen leaned against Lu Mingzhou’s shoulder, his eyes becoming misted with emotion.
Lu Mingzhou hadn't noticed at first, but when he felt the dampness on his leg, he was startled. When he saw Luo Wen’s waist going soft, his lower lip bitten, and his long, narrow eyes half-closed, leaning into him uncontrollably, he suddenly realized what was happening.
Lu Mingzhou felt a moment of awkwardness. He wanted to grab the System and ask, *This world of yours isn't normal!* Lu Mingzhou hadn't been close to men in his previous life, but he knew this didn't make any sense.
He coughed lightly, releasing the hand he had been stroking with, and hugged Luo Wen. But seeing Luo Wen looking at him with hazy eyes, like a pool of flowing spring water filled with affection, he was left speechless.
