Opportunities to admire Ning Yuelan up close like this aren’t something every man gets. Fang Mo stared blankly at the woman’s delicate cheek. Her fair complexion tinged with a rosy flush, finely shaped willow-leaf eyebrows, and beneath them, bright peach blossom eyes with slightly upturned corners that seemed to be sending electric sparks at him. Fang Mo’s gaze lingered on her breath-warm, orchid-like red lips, and for the first time, he felt a sudden urge to kiss them.

Fortunately, he was still rational enough to resist.

At the moment a man’s hand brushed across her forehead, Ning Yuelan felt a jolt as if struck by lightning, her eyes briefly flickering with a rare hint of panic.

“Get up quickly. You’re one meter eighty-five, not a child. You want to crush your sister to death?” she chided.

“Oh, sorry…” he mumbled.

“Sis, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to,” Fang Mo quickly scrambled off the bed and kindly helped Ning Yuelan straighten her wedding dress. At the same time, he noticed a wound on her exposed shoulder where the dress slit. The injury was quite visible, but Ning Yuelan had deliberately chosen a silk-strapped wedding gown that just covered it.

No wonder she avoided strapless dresses—she must have been worried about this scar. Though it wasn’t large, it still affected her overall beauty. There was no doubt in his mind that this wound was his handiwork from his drunkenness the day before.

“Yuelan, let me help you apply some medicine. Maybe it can heal before the wedding,” Fang Mo said, pointing to the injury. Ning Yuelan hesitated, blushing slightly before nodding.

Suddenly, a commotion sounded outside. Fang Mo and Ning Yuelan exchanged glances; Fang Mo looked puzzled, but Ning Yuelan knew exactly what was going on and silently thought the butler was quite efficient.

“Forget about the wound for now, let’s go see what’s happening,” she said.

As they stepped into the living room, they found over a dozen suitcases piled up. Fang Mo was stunned.

“What’s all this?”

Ning Yuelan’s butler, Xiao Jie, chuckled but didn’t answer. She thought to herself that from now on, her mistress should no longer be called “Miss” but “Madam,” since the wedding was imminent and they were already living together. The transformation from girl to woman was inevitable.

“Miss, I’ve moved all the gentleman’s luggage here—clothes, underwear, toiletries, daily necessities—and I even bought three big bags of toilet paper,” Xiao Jie reported after setting down the last suitcase.

Fang Mo’s expression completely lost control. What the heck? All these suitcases are my stuff? When was my home ransacked?

Ning Yuelan gave Xiao Jie a wink, signaling she could leave. Fang Mo, meanwhile, was already anxiously opening each suitcase to check. As expected, they were filled with his belongings, even down to toothbrush, toothpaste, and towels.

“This butler is really overstepping,” Ning Yuelan said mock-annoyed. “Who told her to meddle? Why didn’t she ask you before bringing all your things here?”

“Even if you go back tonight, you probably don’t have toiletries there. Besides, moving things back and forth is troublesome. It’s so late already; if I move your things back, you wouldn’t be in bed until after midnight.”

“Always causing trouble.”

“I’ll call her over to sort it out now.”

Fang Mo was stunned. After thinking about it, he realized that since no one knew their marriage was initially a sham, the butler naturally assumed they were truly getting married and cohabiting was just a matter of course. Helping with the move was part of her duties.

Still, something felt off to Fang Mo.

He stopped Ning Yuelan, who was about to confront the butler angrily.

“Forget it, Yuelan, it’s not really her fault.”

“Aren’t you mad?” Ning Yuelan teased.

Fang Mo gave a helpless smile. “What’s there to be mad about? She meant well.”

“Sis, do you have any other spare rooms? I can sleep in the study tonight.”

Ning Yuelan’s face lit up with a sly smile. Tonight the study, tomorrow the second bedroom, and the day after that, sharing the same bed was inevitable!

“Sure, then you sleep in the study tonight. You’re right—we’re married now. Grandpa’s watching us closely, so cohabiting will happen sooner or later. Moving your things early or late won’t make much difference. I’ll help you organize your clothes; those you don’t need for now I’ll put in the wardrobe.”

Fang Mo nodded blankly.

“Oh, okay…”

With that, Ning Yuelan grabbed two suitcases and headed toward the bedroom.

Fang Mo watched her retreating figure, feeling something was off. Wasn’t Yuelan heading toward her own bedroom? His expression stiffened.

Then he suddenly realized and slapped his forehead. “Wait, Yuelan never agreed to cohabitate after marriage, right? So how did that become a done deal?”

Fang Mo sucked in a sharp breath—he had unwittingly fallen into another trap.

Just then, he noticed a medical kit tucked in the corner of the living room. He grabbed it and headed to the room.

“Yuelan, let me help you apply the medicine…”

Before he finished, he pushed open the door to find the woman smiling brightly, gazing at an open suitcase. Fang Mo was puzzled—what was so interesting?

Following her gaze, he was struck as if by lightning.

The suitcase was neatly packed with dozens of men’s underwear, all his own, but over half featured cartoon characters like SpongeBob, Squidward, and a few Japanese anime figures.

Ning Yuelan teased, “So this is your style.”

“Are you wearing some like that now too? Tsk tsk tsk.”

You rogue!

Under Ning Yuelan’s flirtatious, ambiguous gaze, Fang Mo’s thick skin suddenly felt very thin. Blushing, he snatched the suitcase away.

“Um, Yuelan, maybe I should put my things in the study?”

Wishful thinking.

Ning Yuelan crossed her arms, smiling sweetly. “But only my bedroom has a wardrobe!”

“You can’t just throw around your underwear, that’s unclean and unhygienic.”

So I’m forced to leave all these clothes here?

Ignoring his resentful look, Ning Yuelan opened the wardrobe. “Look, I’ve cleared space for you. This section’s for summer clothes, and this one’s for winter.”

As she spoke, she deliberately skipped over a large drawer in the middle. Fang Mo wondered if it was empty given its size.

He pointed to the drawer. “Yuelan, what’s in this drawer?”

“Oh…” Ning Yuelan dragged the word out and gave a mischievous smile, pulling the drawer open. “Why don’t you take a look yourself?”

Fang Mo felt a rush of heat surge from his feet to his head, nearly nosebleeding. It was too scandalous, too stunning—especially imagining Yuelan wearing those…

He practically fled the bedroom.

“Yuelan, I’m going to wash my face and calm down.”

Ning Yuelan watched his retreating figure, covering her mouth as she giggled softly.

Such a fool! It’s just triangle-shaped, sheer, and lace underwear—no photos of me or anything. Why so worked up?

Still smiling, she helped put Fang Mo’s clothes into the wardrobe.

About twenty minutes later, a calmer Fang Mo returned. Ning Yuelan was utterly tempting.

“Here, let me help you apply the medicine.”

Hearing that, Fang Mo suddenly felt dry-mouthed. Did this enchantress never tire?

Ning Yuelan pouted and urged, “Hurry up…”

Taking several deep breaths to steady himself, Fang Mo approached her. As he looked at her snow-white shoulder, he tried to keep his gaze from wandering downward, but his eyes betrayed him.

He silently recited the “Heart of Ice” mantra: “With an icy heart, the sky may fall without fear.”

He gently dabbed the cotton swab on her wound. The cool sensation made her moan softly.

“Mm~.”

Fang Mo’s expression changed; his hand trembled involuntarily, nearly dropping the swab. He gritted his teeth and forced out, “Sis, please don’t make that sound.”

“Sorry, it’s too cold, I couldn’t help it,” Ning Yuelan apologized with no remorse, instead grinning at the earnest young man applying the medicine.

Fang Mo’s features were not bad-looking; in fact, his pale skin made him quite handsome. Lin Xihan once called him a pretty boy, and it wasn’t an exaggeration. His features weren’t striking but were pleasing to the eye—a refined young man who could easily be the campus heartthrob at any university.

“All done, sis.”

Fang Mo felt like the process took an eternity. Finally, he sighed with relief. “It’s all my fault for leaving that ugly scar on your beautiful shoulder. If it doesn’t heal, I’ll feel terrible.”

Ning Yuelan glanced at him with interest and licked her tempting red lips. “Then how about I give you one too?”

“What?”

Before Fang Mo could react, Ning Yuelan leaned closer, her mature, captivating scent filling his senses. Just as he was about to get lost in it, she bit his neck hard.

Ouch!

The bite was strong, making Fang Mo gasp for breath. Yet, recalling how she’d stumbled upon him the previous day during a business matter and was dragged, kicking and screaming, to the civil affairs bureau to get their marriage certificate, he felt guilty and didn’t resist.

After a moment, Ning Yuelan lifted her head, breath fragrant as orchids, and said, “You ruined my shoulder; I’ll give you a little scar in return. That way, we’re even. Oh, and since you helped me apply medicine once, I’ll help you next time.”

“Darling, come closer so sister can take a good look…”

The word “Darling” sent shivers down Fang Mo’s spine.

He trembled as if electrocuted.

“N-no, no need, sis!”

Saying this, Fang Mo quickly got up and dashed toward the study.

“Yuelan, it’s late. Time to rest. I’ll turn off the lights for you. Good night.”

With that, darkness fell over the bedroom. Ning Yuelan blinked in the dark, then let out a soft giggle.

“Always teasing this little guy—isn’t that a bit much?”

“But why do I love seeing his shy face so much? Could teasing my husband become an addiction…”

Fang Mo spent the night in the study, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep. His body burned with heat as all sorts of wild thoughts raced through his mind.

Ding—

Suddenly, his phone vibrated.

“Are you asleep?”

A message from a WeChat contact with no saved name.

Fang Mo clicked on the avatar, intending to check the friend’s Moments to see who it was.

Surprisingly, there was nothing posted. The profile picture showed three Minions dolls, seemingly posed with big round eyes staring.

Who are you?

He typed these three words but hadn’t sent them when a new message arrived:

“I see you’re typing; looks like you’re not asleep. Want to come sleep in sister’s arms?”

Fang Mo: ???

When did I add such a shameless friend on WeChat? Do we even know each other? Come sleep in her arms?

Could it be some secret admirer?

“Sorry, I’m married.”

After thinking a moment, Fang Mo took out his red marriage certificate and sent a photo of it.

That morning, when he went downstairs, he still carried the certificate with him. He hadn’t gone home all day, so it stayed in his pocket.

Upon receiving the picture, the other side sent back three laughing-while-crying emojis.

“What the heck?”

Fang Mo was stunned as someone knocked on the door. Before he could react, Ning Yuelan, lightly dressed, pushed it open.

“Tsk, your manly virtue’s well preserved!”

“But… little guy, shouldn’t you explain why you didn’t save sister’s contact with a proper note?”
