Upon hearing that his daughter-in-law was being mistreated, Cheng Zhengchu immediately stood up, his face darkening severely.

Seeing the father and daughter ready to fight on her behalf, Yu Yaxuan’s mood brightened significantly.

“Your boss? Isn’t he the president of Cheng Group?”

“But you’re just an electrician... what’s the president doing at our house?”

“Oh, Mom, the president of Cheng Group is a really good person. Dad saved his life!”

Li Qiang quickly agreed, “Yeah, if it weren’t for Little Cheng, I wouldn’t even be alive today. You must be Little Cheng’s new wife, right? You’re really beautiful.”

Yu Yaxuan blushed at the compliment. “You flatter me. Stay for dinner tonight; I’ll cook some of my specialties!”

“No, thanks. I have things to do, so I won’t stay,” Li Qiang replied quickly.

He wouldn’t dare stay for dinner. Just one compliment to Yu Yaxuan almost got him eaten alive by Cheng Zhengchu.

It was just a simple compliment. Madam is indeed beautiful—why shouldn’t people praise her?

“Ms. Yu, if you have anything you need to tell the boss, just say it. He’s a very kind man.”

Cheng Zhengchu opened his mouth to address Yu Yaxuan, not knowing how to call her, and after hesitating, settled on “Ms. Yu.”

Li Qiang and Cheng Miaomiao were stunned.

They exchanged a glance, their faces full of shock.

“Yes, don’t hesitate if you need anything. I’ll definitely help if I can!” Li Qiang patted his chest with assurance.

Thinking of the young girl from earlier who was truly innocent, Yu Yaxuan hesitated before speaking.
