Huang Tian dared not defy Lin Yi’s orders and could only approach the treasure chest, curious to see what it might contain. Just as Huang Tian was about to open the bronze chest, Lin Yi seized the moment with a sly smile.

He clasped his hands together and said, “Three Pure Ones, please hear the heartfelt plea of your disciple.” Then he shouted loudly, “I offer Huang Tian a lifetime of bachelorhood in exchange for a treasure!”

Hearing this, Huang Tian’s heart suddenly sank as if a massive stone had crashed down with a loud clatter. His previously smooth and practiced movements instantly stiffened, as though an invisible force had abruptly halted him.

At that moment, a surprising spectacle unfolded—two beams of light suddenly flashed forth, one glowing with a rich green radiance, the other shining bright yellow. These luminous orbs, like two dazzling pearls, hovered silently before them, emanating a mysterious and alluring aura.

Lin Yi’s smile nearly twisted into a grimace, his mouth stretched wide as though it might crack from laughter. Excitedly, he teased, “Wow, Huang Tian, you are truly my lucky star! To open such a rare green-quality item! Hahaha…”

But inside, Huang Tian seethed with silent complaints. He muttered under his breath, “Your Majesty, what did you mean just now? Cursing me to remain single for life? Hmph, I really want to give you a good beating to vent my anger!”

Of course, he could only keep these thoughts to himself, maintaining a respectful demeanor outwardly.

“Not at all, it’s all thanks to Your Majesty’s great fortune that I have such luck to open something.”

Lin Yi quickly waved his hand and replied solemnly, “No, no, Huang Tian, you must understand, this is entirely due to your own luck, not my merit. I wouldn’t want to bear the blame for making someone stay single! Hehehe…”

Yet in his heart, Lin Yi thought, “You’re playing word games with me, Huang Tian! Fine, then you can stay single and see who lasts longer!”

A sly smile crept onto Lin Yi’s face again. Huang Tian’s expression grew even darker, but he dared not show it, only grumbling inwardly, “Your Majesty, you really are my good lord!”

Ha ha ha! Lin Yi finally burst out laughing, feeling delighted at how mischievous he had been, teasing Huang Tian so thoroughly. Huang Tian’s face flushed red and white in turn, making it hard to suppress a chuckle.

Seeing Huang Tian’s expression, hesitant to strike yet unwilling to comply, Lin Yi wanted to laugh even more. “Alright, I won’t tease you anymore.”

Holding the green orb, a message appeared: “Wooden Cabin Construction Blueprint. Note: A warm home fosters a stronger sense of belonging among your people.”

“My goodness, I get exactly what I wish for!” Lin Yi was at a loss for words.

He looked at Huang Tian with a smile. “Huang Tian, see? The things you open are truly different. You told me this morning about building a house and getting married, and by the afternoon, you’ve opened a wooden cabin blueprint.” He patted Huang Tian’s shoulder good-naturedly.

Huang Tian just smiled and said, “Yes, yes, Your Majesty.”

Lin Yi chuckled and picked up the yellow orb: a farmland. Only good farmland can grow good crops.

Well, farmland isn’t bad either. He put the blueprint and the ox head into his backpack.

With a mischievous glance at Huang Tian, he gestured to continue opening the next chest.

Huang Tian understood immediately but was reluctant—afraid Lin Yi would say something ridiculous again. Looking at Lin Yi, he seemed to say, “Your Majesty, maybe you should open it yourself!”

“No, you open it when told. Don’t act like a little woman, all hesitant and shy.”

Lin Yi seemed to think of something and added, “Don’t worry, I won’t say anything this time. Hurry up and open it.”

Hearing this, Huang Tian reluctantly opened the chest. Fortunately, Lin Yi remained silent, which eased Huang Tian’s mind.

Perhaps his luck was spent, as the chest contained only two stacks of 500 gold coins each and a large broadsword.

Lin Yi gripped the finely crafted broadsword and thought to himself, “Just a silver chest, and this is what it gives me? Are you kidding me?”

He looked dissatisfied and turned to Huang Tian, complaining, “This won’t do, Huang Tian. We went through all that trouble to open a silver chest, and all we get is this lousy sword?”

Huang Tian stepped forward, examined the broadsword carefully, and said seriously, “Your Majesty, in my humble opinion, this broadsword is probably not as simple as it seems. Look at its exquisite craftsmanship; every detail is perfectly handled. This is not something ordinary weapons can compare to. Its quality surely isn’t low. There might even be special effects we have yet to discover.”

Listening to Huang Tian’s analysis, Lin Yi felt there might be some truth to it. He picked up the broadsword again, studying it carefully, thinking to himself.

“Perhaps, as Huang Tian says, this seemingly ordinary broadsword hides a secret. Since I can’t figure out its special features now, I’ll put it safely in the backpack and study it later.”

With that in mind, Lin Yi carefully placed the broadsword into his backpack.

Glancing at the sky, he asked, “Huang Tian, do you want to rest tonight? It’s almost dark.”

“Your Majesty, I am duty-bound and do not require rest at night.”

“That won’t do. If you’re not resting, then stay inside the castle tonight and find a room.”

“That… might not be appropriate, Your Majesty,” Huang Tian hesitated.

To ease his concerns, Lin Yi said sharply, “What’s inappropriate? There’s no danger tonight, and if anything urgent happens, you can respond quickly.”

Unable to argue further, Huang Tian relented, treating it as a reward for himself.

“Alright, find a room first. I’ll place the farmland,” Lin Yi said, then went to the two plots of land to set them up before returning to the castle.

Seeing Huang Tian had already chosen a room, Lin Yi returned to his own. Opening his watch, he noticed a red plus sign in his friends list.

Curious, he wondered who would add him as a friend out of the blue.

He opened the message notification and saw it was a request from someone named Tian Chuan. With curiosity, he checked the note beside the name: “Brother, is that you?”

The moment he read those words, Lin Yi’s heart skipped a beat, overwhelmed by an indescribable feeling. He whispered to himself, “Lin Chuan… could it be you?”

It was well known that Lin Yi had a younger brother close in age and deeply connected. But fate had cruelly played its hand—their parents were taken in a sudden car accident. Since then, the brothers had depended solely on each other.

But how had he found Lin Yi among more than seven billion people? It was truly unfathomable.

Was it mere coincidence? Or was there some hidden secret and story behind this? Countless questions swirled in Lin Yi’s mind, leaving him momentarily at a loss.
