When Sui Yi shoved her phone into her pocket, she was already inside the classroom. The students trailing behind her watched with various strange and ambiguous expressions—perhaps they were simply waiting to witness her impending misfortune.

Sure enough, she had barely set down her bag when Huang Yan, his face contorted with rage, stormed into the room like a bull, bellowing in a butcher’s tone, “Sui Yi, get over here!”

A stir swept through the class, while Qian Fengling and her companions laughed without restraint. “I just saw the vice principal arrive at school…”

“I think the principal’s here too…”

Sui Yi closed her eyes briefly, set her math book on her desk, and walked toward the door. Yan Qingwu leaned against the wall, her school jacket draped over one arm, watching Sui Yi.

“Need any help?” she asked.

Huang Yan hesitated, eyeing Sui Yi with suspicion.

Sui Yi met her gaze and inclined her head slightly. “Yes.”

Huang Yan’s expression shifted.

“If I don’t come back before first period, can I borrow your notes?” Sui Yi said.

Yan Qingwu was taken aback for a moment, then brushed a strand of hair from her face, frowned, and smiled.

“All right.”

Suddenly, she found Second High rather interesting.

Just then, Yu Hang rushed out from Class Three and grabbed Sui Yi’s sleeve. “Don’t go! I’ll deal with this!”

Damn it, he was the one who threw the punch! If they only called Sui Yi, it was obvious what they were up to.

And to be precise, this whole mess started with him and Han Yuanzhong. Sui Yi was just caught up in it.

Sui Yi glanced at Yu Hang’s anxious face, then at Huang Yan and the others moving in from the corner of her eye. She drew a step closer to Yu Hang and lowered her voice in a soft laugh.

“Did you bring your phone?”

“Huh?”

——

Outside the vice principal’s office, not only students but also a crowd of teachers had gathered, all casting curious and gossipy glances at the closed door.

Inside, Sui Yi stood by the wall while Han Yuanzhong sat on the sofa, hissing in pain. Wang Yan, their homeroom teacher, tended to Han Yuanzhong’s bloody nose with a cotton swab, fretting over him.

His face was still swollen. He should have been sent to the infirmary, but perhaps wanting to see Sui Yi’s downfall with his own eyes, Han Yuanzhong insisted on staying in his father’s office.

His father, Han Tianshou—the vice principal of Second High—sat in the wide office chair, legs apart, his gaze cold and fixed on Sui Yi and the others.

No, his eyes were fixed on Sui Yi alone.

Huang Yan’s forehead was beaded with cold sweat. He glanced at Sui Yi, whose composure was unshaken—how was she not even a little afraid, or the slightest bit remorseful?

“Sui Yi! How could you be so careless? Apologize to Han Yuanzhong right now!” Huang Yan barked, stern and severe.

Careless?

Sui Yi looked at Huang Yan, somewhat surprised, but Han Yuanzhong immediately roared, “Careless? She did it on purpose! Dad, she’s a shameless tramp! You have to expel her!”

Huang Yan was shocked by Han Yuanzhong’s words, but Wang Yan didn’t even flinch—she only fussed over Han Yuanzhong, “Oh dear, don’t move, does it hurt?”

Her gaze swept coldly toward Sui Yi. “Vice Principal, this Sui Yi has always had questionable conduct in school, doesn’t study properly, and her private life outside brings shame to our school. I used to pity her for being an orphan, but I never thought she’d go this far…”

“This time, don’t show any mercy. For the school’s sake, you must deal with her strictly!”

Huang Yan was annoyed at Wang Yan’s accusations but could only glare at Sui Yi, muttering inwardly about what a troublesome student she was. “Though Sui Yi isn’t the most diligent, this time she—”

“Huang Yan, you can be quiet now,” Han Tianshou interrupted coldly.

His fat hands sprawled over the broad mahogany arms of the chair, his squat body wedged into the seat. When Sui Yi lowered her eyes, she could see his round belly filling the space completely.

He stood up.

His stomach quivered slightly, and his polished crocodile shoes scraped sharply on the black marble floor.

“Sui Yi?”

“Yes…” Sui Yi met Han Tianshou’s close, scrutinizing gaze and caught a glint in his eye.

What was that look?

Sui Yi lowered her eyes, a cold smile flickering at her lips.

“You three, wait outside,” Han Tianshou ordered, his tone chilly and unpredictable.

Huang Yan wanted to protest but had no choice but to leave. Wang Yan’s gaze turned even colder, then she looked at Sui Yi, bit her lip, and left. Han Yuanzhong was reluctant, insisting on staying, but Han Tianshou made a few dismissive remarks and told him to go to the infirmary instead.

Han Yuanzhong snorted, “Dad, you have to punish her…”

To him, the school was like his personal toy box—everything inside was his to play with, all within his control. His father was the one who made the rules. If a toy didn’t behave, his father would fix it for him.

As always.

The three left.

The spacious office became even larger. Only two people remained.

——

“Do you know what you’ve done?” Han Tianshou’s gaze swept over Sui Yi.

Suddenly, his voice rose, “Not wearing your uniform! Always trying to dress up! At your age, with such poor conduct, and now you’ve even assaulted a fellow student! This isn’t just a matter of behavior; it’s a crime!”

He moved in, his nose and mouth almost pressing against her neck and face.

Sui Yi took a step back to maintain distance, but inwardly she found it laughable. A crime?

Did he have any idea how many crimes she’d committed?

Did he know she’d just killed a hitman yesterday?

He had no idea. That ignorance gave him the arrogance to bare his teeth.

“A crime… You could be sent to prison, you know. You’re still young, probably have no idea what prison is like… Once you’re locked up… heh…”

Seeing her retreat, Han Tianshou smiled instead of getting angrier. He clasped his hands behind his back. “Do you still want to continue your studies?”

At seventeen or eighteen, what could be more terrifying than being expelled and sent to jail, especially for a girl?

Han Tianshou knew how to strike at the most vulnerable spot, seizing the perfect angle and strength for his attack.

He let his opponent linger in fear, until in the end, submission was the only option.

Sui Yi frowned, her expression tightening, her voice cold. “It was just an accident… I didn’t mean to hurt Han Yuanzhong. If the vice principal insists on avenging his son, I can hire a lawyer to defend myself…”

A lawyer? Han Tianshou hadn’t expected this gentle girl to strike back, and with such force!

But—

A child was still just a child.

“A lawyer? You have money? Do you know how much hiring a lawyer costs?”

Sui Yi looked up at him, her head tilted, her eyes clear and bright.

“You couldn’t afford a lawyer even if you sold yourself ten times over… Do you even know where the courthouse is? And not every lawyer will take your case… Do you believe that with a word, I could have someone handle this easily, and have you locked up for assault for a few years? By the time you get out, ha, a pretty seventeen-year-old girl will have become an old woman…”

Han Tianshou laughed, his belly jiggling with each chuckle, his small eyes squinting, the flesh on his face shifting as his gaze wandered down Sui Yi’s delicate, pale neck.

That ivory skin, so finely sculpted, slender enough to encircle with a hand, exuded a fragrance that reached him from several meters away, making his throat itch.

A man is born with two fatal desires.

The lust for things, and the lust for flesh.

He enjoyed the former at every moment; the latter, he was striving for now.

“So, the vice principal is determined to send me to jail?” Sui Yi asked softly.

After a pause, she added, “I trust the law and the authorities to give me justice.”

Han Tianshou’s laugh was loud, his stomach quivering.

“You’re adorable… To be honest, I had drinks with the town mayor last night. Do you know who the police chief is? He’s my brother-in-law… I could have him put you in a men’s prison. Are you scared?”

Sui Yi was already pressed against the sofa, and Han Tianshou could almost picture her pinned beneath him.

“I remember there were a few girls at this school who had some… connection with the vice principal. Rumor had it they were assaulted and later dropped out. I always thought those were just rumors. So it’s true…”

A flash of caution crossed Han Tianshou’s eyes, but seeing the icy determination on Sui Yi’s delicate face, his excitement only grew.

Men, after all, enjoy submission, but forced submission is even more intoxicating.

A girl like this, without a good scare, would never understand the true meaning of power.
