Chapter 135: Three Cars, Four Women!
Sui Yi had already taken the phone from Yan Qingwu’s hand, pulled up the contact list, and made a call. The person on the other end seemed surprised that it was Sui Yi speaking, but quickly agreed to rush over immediately.
The warm milk tea heated her hands and slowly flowed down Yan Qingwu’s throat into her body, leaving her belly feeling cozy. It seemed to alleviate much of the pain—a type of pain many women suffer from, yet hers was particularly severe. Now, however, it felt much, much better.
She sipped the tea while staring at Sui Yi. After a long moment, she said, "Sui Yi, have I ever told you... I am so fortunate to know you?"
Her voice was very soft, carrying a faint scent of milk.
"Hmm?" Sui Yi, holding the phone in one hand while pushing her bicycle with the other, turned her head to look at her. She thought for a moment and smiled. "Yes, I just heard it."
Yan Qingwu smiled at this, her slender fingertips tracing the plastic cup as she stared at the bustling street. The traffic lights flickered, and the neon signs were coming to life. She smiled gently, her eyes filled with an inexplicable touch of melancholy.
In the midst of the bustling, neither overly trendy nor outdated street, two young women of exceptional appearance and aura stood quietly within the crowd. Standing by the roadside, silent, they were like graceful beauties resting on water-borne duckweed. There was stillness in the motion, and beauty in the stillness.
Many people paused, unable to resist looking back. People in the shops along the street also glanced over from time to time, and some students or young men wanted to step forward to flirt.
Some thought about it, and then, someone actually did.
The young man seemed quite roguish. Sui Yi frowned, walked to Yan Qingwu’s side, and shielded her behind her, casting a cold glance at the group of youths. Sui Yi possessed a powerful presence; that indifferent, icy gaze, carrying the unique aura of a master, felt cold enough to reach straight into their hearts, causing the glib remarks the youths were about to make to catch in their throats.
However, backing down now would be embarrassing. Being the face-conscious types they were, they absolutely refused to do so—especially with so many people watching with interest. Perhaps they should surround them and use brute force to suppress these two beauties.
Just as they were about to move forward—
*Screech.* A car with a clearly intimidating price tag pulled up in front of them. The logo on the hood made the youths freeze. Then, a tall, imposing middle-aged man opened the door.
Wang Jin stepped out quickly and bowed to Yan Qingwu, saying, "Miss." He then glanced at the youths, his gaze even colder, filled with killing intent.
The youths’ legs went weak. *Damn it, we hadn't even started teasing them yet! Why is everyone here so terrifying?*
Having scared off the youths, Wang Jin looked worriedly at Yan Qingwu. Seeing her nod, he turned to Sui Yi and said, "Miss Sui, let’s head back together. I’ll put the bicycle in the back..."
Sui Yi didn’t act coy and was just about to agree...
Suddenly! *Whoosh!*
Another car pulled over on the opposite side of the street, its front facing Wang Jin’s vehicle directly. It was a face-off. It also bore a domineering logo on the hood. It was a luxury car, but unlike the low-key, steady design of Wang Jin’s vehicle, its styling was overly aggressive—the very definition of a flashy, fierce aura.
It clearly revealed the owner’s personality: unruly, noble, and ostentatious. Perhaps the owner was a wild, cool, and arrogant rich kid, or perhaps, a beauty. Everyone on the street couldn't help but think so.
Soon, the car door opened. Would a pair of long, straight, and perfectly contoured beautiful legs emerge?
The next second, a chubby, plaster-cast leg poked out. A tall girl with a wild, short haircut and a beauty as striking as a Miss China stepped out nonchalantly, leaning against the car while propping up a leg and an arm encased in plaster. The plaster-covered hand waved back and forth, much like the golden beckoning cats placed on counters in many shops.
Moreover, she called out, "Hey! My dear Sui Yi!"
Yan Qingwu looked at the girl in the car, then cast a glance at Gong Jiu before offering Sui Yi a slight smile.
Sui Yi walked over to Gong Jiu, frowned, and asked, "Why did you discharge yourself from the hospital?"
Gong Jiu was stunned, then her face darkened. "Are you scolding me?"
Sui Yi: "....No."
No? Who didn't know that you were more black-bellied than ink?
Gong Jiu scoffed. "The hospital in this dump is terrible... I had to get out..." She paused and said to Sui Yi, "Hurry up, get in the car. I’ll take you home... I’ll stop by your place to hang out, grab a bite, we can chat, and then I’ll leave."
"I have no intention of letting you stay." So, you don’t need to be so coherent and natural about it.
Gong Jiu’s face darkened further, her features scrunching up. "What’s that supposed to mean?"
As she said this, she felt someone watching her. She looked at Wang Jin, who was appraising her, and consequently caught sight of Yan Qingwu in the car. Her expression turned slightly odd.
"The girl from the Yan family?" she asked.
Wang Jin stepped forward. "Hello, Miss Gong."
Gong Jiu was arrogant—very much a tsundere—and naturally wouldn’t exchange pleasantries with someone of Wang Jin’s social standing. She merely gave a cold nod, then raised an eyebrow at the seemingly frail Yan Qingwu in the car.
"Hello, Gong Jiu," Yan Qingwu said softly.
*Heh, using her first name? That feels strange.*
Gong Jiu curled her lip, her eyes narrowing. Suddenly, she draped a hand over Sui Yi’s shoulder and laughed. "Well, well, I didn't expect my Sui Yi to be on such good terms with you, Miss Yan... Alright, Sui Yi, it seems you’re going to take her home. That’s fine. I’ll go to your place first and wait for you to return..."
Her tone was incredibly possessive.
Yan Qingwu’s brows tightened. She swept a cool gaze over Gong Jiu’s face, then lowered her eyes. "There’s no need. Sui Yi, you have a guest, you should go back with her instead..."
The exchange between the two was brief, but Wang Jin felt a chill run down his spine. He instinctively looked at Sui Yi, who was standing between them.
Hmm, this young woman’s expression remained very calm. She gently brushed Gong Jiu’s hand off her shoulder and said, "If you’re injured, stop running around and don't move carelessly. Go back and take your medicine obediently."
Sui Yi was naturally a thoughtful person, but the gentle warmth she showed to acquaintances could only be felt by those close to her—and whom she allowed to be close. Because of this, proud women like Yan Qingwu and Gong Jiu were drawn to her.
However, it was clear that Gong Jiu was someone who thrived on being "mistreated" and rarely received such tenderness.
So...
Gong Jiu’s eyes widened, then her expression softened, thinking to herself, *My dear Sui Yi is actually quite fond of me... We’re family, after all...*
She didn't notice that while Sui Yi was talking, she had grabbed her arm, walked her to the car, and stuffed her inside.
Only after her backside hit the seat did Gong Jiu come to her senses.
"It’s late and not safe to drive. Go back now. If you have something to say, use your phone, or I’ll come see you another day."
Sui Yi spoke slowly, and just as Gong Jiu’s eyes widened in annoyance, Sui Yi reached out and patted her head.
"Be good..."
The puffed-up cheeks and the fire in her eyes vanished in an instant. The tsundere woman nodded obediently. "...Okay."
Wang Jin was left dumbfounded, and even the passersby were speechless. In a car not far away, Feng Sha and the others covered their faces. *Miss Jiu, can’t you be a little more firm!*
The car was just about to start... when it was blocked.
Another car cut them off. The door opened, and before Gong Jiu’s fiery eyes, the door of a bright red Maserati swung open. *Clack, clack*—the ten-centimeter stiletto heels seemed to pierce holes in the ground with every step.
A woman with a figure like a water snake, wearing a form-fitting rose-red *qipao* with a fur coat draped over her shoulders, stepped out. She wore oversized black sunglasses and clutched a designer envelope bag.
She walked for a dozen paces. Despite the gritty street floor covered in paper scraps and fruit peels, she walked as if she were on a Milan fashion runway.
*Thud!*
The stunning, bewitching woman, over 1.7 meters tall, walked up to Sui Yi, took off her sunglasses, and revealed a pair of large, enchanting eyes. She zipped open her bag and took out her phone.
"Come on, Sui Yi, give me your number."
The woman was direct, domineering, and seductive. Sui Yi looked at her coldly for a while, and the woman stared back, equally unyielding. After a long moment, she bit her lower lip, her eyes looking as if tears were about to spill.
The queenly aura surrounding her shifted completely!
Her red lips parted softly. "What’s this? We’ve been through life and death together, and we don’t even have this bit of friendship? It’s a pity I considered you my soulmate for this life. Heaven have mercy... my heart aches..."
She clutched her chest. The Milan fashion runway had instantly turned into Lin Daiyu burying flowers in *Dream of the Red Chamber*...
"...13346..." Sui Yi recited her phone number directly.
The aura retracted instantly. The "Flower Demon" raised an eyebrow and said in a calm tone, "Stay in touch. When you go to the provincial capital, come see me. Just ask at any nightclub and you’ll find me, Hua Yaofei... Don’t go looking for that blockhead who failed her primary school classes; she’s unreliable... Really!"
*Uh, is it okay to say that right in front of said blockhead?*
Sui Yi rubbed her forehead. "What about your injury? You don’t need a cast?"
Why was it that Gong Jiu, who was stronger, had a cast, but she...
"A cast? How could I, Hua Yaofei, go out wearing a cast... That’s something only ugly idiots who don’t know they’re ugly would do."
After saying that, she put her sunglasses back on and turned around.
"You lunatic! If you have the guts, go back to the hospital and take off that cast!" Gong Jiu scratched at the car window like a Persian cat whose tail had been stepped on!
Hua Yaofei didn't even look back, simply pulling the car door open. "Darling, wearing a cast in the hospital and wearing one out of the hospital are two different things... With your IQ, it’s really hard for me to explain."
The car drove away quickly. Gong Jiu also left, fuming, followed by a dozen cars belonging to their subordinates. The way they were driving, it was highly likely they would crash into each other midway and perish together.
Sui Yi closed her eyes and sighed helplessly, then got into Wang Jin’s car.
As the car drove away, it left a crowd of people sighing in wonder. How did it feel as if the world of these four women belonged to an entirely different reality?
